The article compares his stat line to Paul Stastny and how his first 2 seasons were his statistical best. The other comparable was Galchenyuk

He's shown significant periods of elite talent but also long stretches where he's invisible and or ineffective. I know there is talk of the wrist and I hate to point it out but he was invisible before he got hurt last year. Couple this with his proclamation of being 100% and the fact that he looks microscopic small and slow as molasses...I dunno man but I don't want a fucking Galchenyuk thanks
Like I said months ago. Trade high.

Now it's too late. But you can still recoup. Hang onto this kid for another 3 months and you'll never move him for a return. This kid will suck up $7.5M worth of cap space for 3 years, hamstringing the team like Blob's favorite all time Air Thief, and we'll be watching Horvat, Miller, Boeser, and Hughes, all hit their late 20's (early 30's) and still be needing a scoring threat to help them out.

Well we aren't trading him for an over-the-hill Pederson, the idea would be to trade him for someone the same age and of similar value.

The crappy part is that right now Benning would be throwing in the extra cheddar because Petey is playing like shit.
If we could convert him into say Thomas Chabot I think I could get over him. Even Barzal...he's been almost as good as EP over the same sort of timeline. How about Rasmus Dahlin plus something more even?
Barzal has been consistently better. He blew the doors off as a sheltered rooking behind Tavares. Then got asked to fill the gaping hole when Pajama Boy went home to the COTU. Any player who scores at a 60-70 pt pace on a team coached by Barrie Trotz is a legit talent.

That's not a shot at Trotz.....he's a damned good coach, but his systems definitely favour the defensive side of the game.

Curious how accurate these crazy rumours are that the room is quite divided between two camps - Miller camp and Horvat camp. Apparently most players being in the Miller camp. Weird

Shocking that rumours are spreading of a divided room.

Honestly would be more pissed if there wasn’t a divided room and they were playing like a bag of shit.

When you’re losing everyone has their opinion on what’s wrong including the players.

Shit can em all.

^ Exactly. Stress levels are high, from owners to the stick boy.

Of course there will be tensions in the room.

Man, if true, we haven't seen a mess like this since the Messier/Linden days and we all know how that ended. I'll give JB props for trying to build a young competitive team, but if he brought in some bad apples, not sure if he's the guy to clean up this shit show. Need a no nonsense kinda guy like Burkie once again.

I guess that's why we haven't heard reports of the much-vaunted players-only meeting.
