Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, are all significant "4 point" games for the Canucks.
We should have Halak and Garlic back for next game at least

Horvat having to sit around for ten days is fucked. Especially when the ten day rule after crossing the border is changing to five in Feb. anyways.
So much crap.

I still believe Petey should be moved to wing long term, ala Stamkos styles.

Petey terrorized his opponents best at right wing, as proven with Vaxjo Lakers breaking many records and thrived in the playoffs, winning a SHL championship. Silver medal with Junior team Sweden, Gold at World Championships.
Växjö’s coach, Sam Hallam, after the game, and it’s almost with a tired smile that Mr. Hallam says “Everyone thinks that we are tired about speaking about Elias Pettersson, but we aren’t. He is a fantastic kid, and displays his best hockey when there is the most to play for. He inspires our whole team [with his attitude]. It is also great to see him shoulder that responsibility”.

While Mr. Hallam thinks that Pettersson has raised his game another step in the playoffs, he is also quick to point out that “It is a big challenge for him to recharge for the next game with games every other day, and it is tough playoff games, too. But, as in today’s game, even if he doesn’t start out in a good way, he will identify and find solutions to participate in the game on his own terms. It is Elias that screens the goalie on the first goal. He scores the second, and adds an empty-net goal too.”

They really have been Pettersson’s playoffs. He has beaten both Henrik and Daniel Sedin’s records for the playoffs before they went over to the NHL.

Petey on RW for Team Sweden.

If the team decides to sign Miller long term, they can then move Boeser to solidify our top 4 defense, as on wing we'd have Garland, Petey, Hoglander and Podkolzin in the top 6. Just need a right handed #3C after that.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Damn!
Rick Dhaliwal @DhaliwalSports
Sounds like either Spencer Martin or Mike DiPietro may have tested positive this morning.
Team is waiting on more results.
Patrick Johnston @risingaction
Hearing Canucks are looking at university goalie options as preparation for dealing with another Covid case. If they have to recall Silovs to backup tomorrow they’d need another goalie for Abbotsford. Both NHL and AHL teams are in action tomorrow.

Rylan Toth of UBC might get the one day'er contract.
With DiPietro only stopper on ice this morning, Silovs may not be available if there's a COVID-19 concern.

If club reaches out for emergency back-up, it's expected to be Rylan Toth of UBC.

If so, he would sign same one-day contract that Matt Hewitt did in 2016 as EBU.

“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau

Ben Steiner @BenSteiner00
CANUCKS: Per U SPORTS sources, both the NHL and AHL Canucks will have U SPORTS backups tonight.

VAN: Rylan Toth (UBC)
ABB: Talor Joesph (TWU)

Toth’s has been a regular NHL EBUG for several seasons.
