So I think we’re approaching a new international standard here at CC.

You’re all familiar with a Mickey.... ~ 12 oz of booze.

Then of course there’s the Texas Mickey ~ 101 ounces.

And now we have the Corner Micky ~ 2 gallons of force fed throat yogurt.

Congrats Mick, you’ve been immortalized.

We talk about leadership in the room to teach the players how to win.

Then we have Green as a coach which is fucking up this team and the players, you want to talk about bad habits watch how this team plays.

Brining in a temp coach which works on the simple parts of the game and has the players playing both ends of the ice will do more good than letting Green and his wrecking crew stay.

I don’t think we are going to see a coaching change this year or possible next, especially since Benning said we are a couple years out from competing.

Unless the guy they wants comes along, I think they continue to let Green do his thing, then make home the scapegoat end of next year. Say what you want about Green, but the young guys on the team are developing and becoming better at the game.

Now, I am ok if they can him now, but I am simply speculating on what they might be thinking.

It wouldn't be til summer regardless. If Green gets resigned I'd imagine it would be a 2 year extention max

I doubt we will as well, half the season is gone and it seems JB will use him as the reason this summer to keep his own job.

I only see him developing Hog, EP and QH are naturally good and it was a no brainer for them to be on the team? Who else has he developed, I mean Julio can't even get on the ice with the veterans playing.

I would say that Boesser, MacEwen, and Motte have all improved, and Jake learned where his own zone was and met the goalies, so that’s something..

Boeser is a vet already on the team, Green is just giving him icetime
MacEwen barely plays as Green prefers Beagle/Roussel/Sutter to play
Motte - no answer as he has been injured
Jake - yes good to see that maybe he is finally understanding his role on the team

I just do not like Green and wanted him gone a couple seasons ago so I am biased. Same as Edler - God I cannot wait until he retires.

I’m actually not minding Jakes game of late. It’s the consistency where he struggles, disappears for games on end but he’s definitely being more noticeable and present instead playing his shifts like he’s an audience member
“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau

Fair enough.

I was just making the point that he has developed a bunch of our young guys, and made them better. My list was an incomplete list of young guys that he developed.. and Boesser has come a long way since Green got him. Much better player now, than 3 years ago.

Green isn’t going to hurt anyone’s development, which is why I speculated they would leave him in place

Not unless it’s a substantial raise. He’s well thought of except by a few angry people in Vancouver . I could see him going to Anaheim for a long term deal.

Then we can go in there and throw 3 forecheckers at them and win game by 4 as well

Back to your original comment because it was from the heart. Doesn't sound like anything is going to happen this year now. However;
How about demoting Newell Brown to some other office job and bringing in a fresh face with some new outlooks. Example; Alex Burrows in Montreal.
That pissed me off. He woulda been great here.

I don't really care anymore, re-sign Green to 4-5 years, but swap out Baumer and Brown.

Need better defense and powerplay coaching.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.
