Honestly, the savings in sending Louie down are so minuscule that it makes sense to keep him on the taxi squad. If, gawd forbid, we have a rash of injuries having a vet on the taxi squad will be a good thing. I know his time here is done but absent him retiring or a trade we only have one more year after this.

Hamonic coming off a $3,857,143 multi yr. deal. 30yrs. old.

Way too much will be paid to these players. They are still there cause things aren't as rosy right now. Will still get too much.

If Hamonic is looking for 4 million+ per at this point, he's going to waiting a long time.

Why on Earth would you think Hamonic is looking for "4 million+ per at this point"?
At this point... he'd be lucky to get half that.
If Jimmy could dump Benn and sign Hamonic for one year at $1.8M I'd be in favour of dat dere.

I think he's looking for plenty more than you think.

Sure, the temptation for what Travis Hamonic could bring but he aint gonna be as cheap as some think

My understanding is that due to COVID-19 concerns, D Jordie Benn and F JT Miller will not be with the #Canucks for a couple of weeks. Both players are quarantining. Miller had been staying at Benn's Vancouver residence @tsn1040

Benn and Miller out... deal with it. Perfect chance for a lesser lite to shine. Is Holtby starting? Just keep your heads above water for the first 6-8 games and then Petey and Quinn will take off.
