Career Milestones 2020/2021

Post by Per »

Sadly both seasons so far for Elias have been cut short. The first season he had 66 points in 71 games and the second 66 points in 68.

Now, hopefully he will get to play a full 82 games this season (and then more...) and it will be interesting to see if he can make the top ten of best seasons by a Vancouver Canuck center forward.

I was a bit surprised to notice that only two non-Swedes are on the list, now the question is, will Petey push Linden off it? And can he then have enough good seasons to push Ronning off it as well? There is also the possibility that Horvat could enter the list.

Rk Player............ Season. GP G. A. TP
_1 Henrik Sedin..... 2009-10 82 29 83 112
_2 Henrik Sedin..... 2010-11 82 19 75 94
_3 Patrik Sundstrom 1983-84 78 38 53 91
_4 Thomas Gradin.. 1981-82 76 37 49 86
_5 Thomas Gradin.. 1982-83 80 32 54 86
_6 Cliff Ronning..... 1992-93 79 29 56 85
_7 Henrik Sedin..... 2008-09 82 22 60 82
_8 Henrik Sedin..... 2011-12 82 14 67 81
_9 Henrik Sedin..... 2006-07 82 10 71 81
10 Trevor Linden.... 1995-96 82 33 47 80

Looking at the above list, I think it is safe to say that Henrik Sedin is so far the best center to have played for the Vancouver Canucks. :mex:

Can Petey change that? :|

Next question is if Huggy Bear can break into the top ten list of best seasons for a Vancouver Canuck defenceman, measured in points scored.

This season he ended just shy of it, in 11th place, counting goals as a tiebreaker. If you instead would use ppg as the tiebreaker, he would have been 9th, and if the season had not been cut short because of covid-19, he probably would have been right at the top of the list. Will it happen in 2020/21 instead?

# 4 Paul Reinhart........ 89/90 67 17 40 57
