The penalties on Erik Cernak, Andrew Cogliano, Brayden Point (for embellishment after Cory Perry jammed the shaft of his stick up in Point's nuts) and Jamie Benn were all garbage calls. I don't know if Sutherland called them all but definitely the Point call was his. The man has no business refereeing an NHL regular season game never mind a Stanley Cup playoff game. Shows the NHL has zero credibility by continuing to employ him.
Florida neighbor calls cops on Tampa Bay Lightning fan screaming ‘shoot!’
Cops rushed to a house in Florida after a neighbor reported someone screaming, “Shoot! Shoot!” — only to learn it was a die-hard hockey fan watching the Stanley Cup finals on TV, according to a report.
Devon Garnett, 26, and some friends were rooting for the Tampa Bay Lightning as they faced off against the Dallas Stars Wednesday night, when cops came knocking, he told the Tampa Bay Times.
“They came to the door and thought there were guns in the house. We’re like, ‘Nope, we’re just screaming for Steven Stamkos,’” Garnett said, referencing the team’s ace left winger. “They thought it was serious because I was screaming ‘Shoot!’ — as in ‘Shoot the puck!'”
The sheriff’s office said authorities initially thought it was a domestic dispute.
“Four deputies responded and discovered there were no domestic problems at the apartment in question,” spokeswoman Natalia Verdina told the paper. “It was a roommate screaming at the TV in regards to a Lightning game.”
