The thing with Juolevi is that he was tracking to be exactly what we needed organizationally. I doubt anyone anywhere associated with NHL scouting would have expected him to crater into what he has become now.

I recall listening to an interview with the fLames GM on the 960am broadcast just prior to that draft and they were extremely high on Juolevi. In fact, I would bet if they had picked before Vancouver they would've taken him before kachunk.

It's like when you're at the bar and saving a seat for the guy who's always late. After a while, you let the next table take the chair, and if the guy ever shows up - he can work to make his own place.

I'm still waiting, but not holding a spot for him any more.

Yeah, OJ would crash his car on the way to the bar. :(

I agree. I stumbled upon the Sabres article and followed the source articles to clarify where these ridiculous claims came from.

Total baloney.

The Pettersson pick was the culmination of an entire scouting departments' input not one individual. The string tie messiah has been worming his anti-canuck agenda into far too many articles of late.

Time for the doughneck to have his string snipped

Funny thing is some team might gonna overpay Brackett based on String Tie's bullshit and regret it.

One snippet that stands out in the article is how ridiculous it was to demand the team give full autonomy on draft picks. That right there tells me the guy let string tie messiah blow up his ego a little too far

So I wonder who leading candidates to replace Brackett could be?
