Lol, yeahno.
If by 'Abbotsford kid' you mean 'forceps baby', then you are (of course) correct.
Wonder if he ends up in Buffalo?Strangelove wrote: ↑Fri Jun 26, 2020 5:12 pm Funny thing is some team might gonna overpay Brackett based on String Tie's bullshit and regret it.
I could see it, I think his family owns a restaurant or some shit, and he works there in the offseason. It’ll put him closer to home.Curmudgeon wrote: ↑Sat Jun 27, 2020 11:13 amWonder if he ends up in Buffalo?Strangelove wrote: ↑Fri Jun 26, 2020 5:12 pm Funny thing is some team might gonna overpay Brackett based on String Tie's bullshit and regret it.
ironic one could say.Michael Russo@RussoHockey
Minnesota Wild hire Canucks draft guru Judd Brackett to lead amateur scouting. After public departure from Vancouver, the Massachusetts native was a free agent for 9 days and brings wealth of experience/solid picks to Minnesota
Also interesting that he didn't get the promotion that he seemed to be angling for with his demands for "autonomy".Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 10:13 am Good for him. I think this whole thing is blown way out of proportion mostly by the urine caked species on Twitter and hfboards. That said, Brackett seems like a bright guy and it will be interesting to track how the drafting goes in Minnesota.
I think he wanted to go back to the US. this is where he comes from (Harwich, Massachusetts).ESQ wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 10:23 amAlso interesting that he didn't get the promotion that he seemed to be angling for with his demands for "autonomy".Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 10:13 am Good for him. Are you suggesting Judd Brackett gave up his dream of "autonomy" in exchange for a job in America?Micky wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 10:56 amI think he wanted to go back to the US. this is where he comes from (Harwich, Massachusetts).ESQ wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 10:23 amAlso interesting that he didn't get the promotion that he seemed to be angling for with his demands for "autonomy".Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 10:13 am Good for him. I want Minnesota's drafting to suck so I can laugh even louder at said urine caked species.Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 10:13 am Good for him. I was trying to see who he replaced, sounds like its quite the dysfunctional scouting team:Strangelove wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 12:01 pmI want Minnesota's drafting to suck so I can laugh even louder at said urine caked species.Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 10:13 am Good for him. Interesting he chose Minnesota, considering the powder keg situation going on there.
A lot of the wealthier folk are getting out of the Twin Cities now that they are on a path to defund the police.
Or was that the only offer he had?

Paul Fenton promotes his son PJ (with 3 years of scouting experience) to co-director of amateur scouting". Paul got fired after 14 months, but PJ stayed on. Then in May, PJ's co-director Darren Yopyk gets canned. But it looks like PJ has stayed on, according to his LinkedIn, as "co-director".
Apparently Fenton Sr's nepotism contributed to his firing, yet Jr is still there.
