Highmore hits waivers from the Blues, Hunt already cleared, Lammikko over in Europe. Does Chiasson make it in Arizona?

Amazing that BB and the core made chicken salad with this garbage last season.

Petan cleared too, as will Dowling, and Richardson never received a PTO. That's 299 combined games here last season, including Chiasson.

Like the song said "Bruce there they go"... or something like that. If they had snuck into the dance, Boudreau was worthy of being top 2 or 3 in the Adams voting.

And Green couldn't find room for MacEwen or even Gadjovich, although old Jonah got fed pretty good by Borowiecki today.

I suspect most of those reprobates only liked him because he had the audacity to kick his wife in the head and make it look like an accident!

Our Sea of Granlunds.

At the end of the day, I think there are a ton of bottom tier players out there (13th forwards, 7th D-men, etc). Not much difference between most of the regular 4th line NHL forwards vs most of the top AHLers and top players in other pro leagues around the world. It all comes down to what a club is looking for: skilled/speedy guy vs defensive/gritty guy and if a club mgmt believes in a certain player. Obviously, if u think a certain guy can be 10%-20% over another guy, u gotta do it, but these players will not make or break the success of the team over the course of the season. The heavy lifting will be done by the team's star players, which is why they make the big $$$.

Pretty much, and last year my frustration was that they brought in and stuck with too many smaller, end of the line guys at the expense of toughness, which was a real shortcoming for the team and left their star players vulnerable.
