Tim Schaller is apparently the NHL player going back the other way.

Prospect Tyler Madden and 2020 2nd round pick in addition to Schaller for Toffoli.

No salary retained by the Kings on Toffoli ($4.6 M AAV) because there's an NHL player in the return package which makes the money work. The Kings are getting a pick, a prospect and NHL player plus another conditional pick if Toffoli re-signs with Van

Toffoli won't replace Ferland (when Ferland is being Ferland) - but he might fill a hole if Boeser is out for longer than we hope.

Still.... I HATE seeing Madden moved, ESPECIALLY for a rental.

Losing Schaller doesn't bother me at all, and the 2nd - I guess if we need another forward for the playoff push. :/ Not 'real' excited about that, but I read LA was looking for a 1st, and Madden is pretty much a 1st rounder in terms of potentials.

This could end up being a really shitty trade if Toffoli doesn't resign and Madden takes off at the NHL level. Big risk for Benning.

With Pettersson, Horvat and Gaudette down the middle, I guess Madden was expendable.

Still, Madden and a 2nd seems steep for Toffoli, especially if it's a conditional pick if Tyler resigns.. (as rumoured)

I know Ferlund isnt coming back this year (or shouldn't)but we are now in a position where Sutter, Erickson, Beartschi and Stetcher have to be moved for picks after the season is over, simply to replace the second rounder and clear cap space.

Not jumping down JB's throat (yet) until the rest of the seasons moves are finished.

Will judge on the body of work, not an individual move.
