I hope you meant a bottom 9. .. or 6

He ain't displacing Brock, Pete, Toffoli or JT.

Bad luck, Per.
Man... it’s hard enough being a Canucks fan. You seem to have Canuck-luck times two.

Rulings like the above make me nervous about what the NHL may do with the Canucks’ first-rounder.

Even though it seems all the effort was for nothing, there will be some fond memories from this season.

Before the first game of the final against Modo (where they only got to play 2 games before the season was cancelled), the league handed out some regular season awards that had gone to Björklöven; coach of the year - Joakim Fagervall, best d-man - Brian Cooper, best goalie - Joe Cannata, save of the year - Joe Cannata and best fans - Green Devils.

Here’s a clip showing Joe getting his award and the fans proving why they won as well.

Cannata has stated in several interviews that he’s been impressed by the way the fans sing and chant throughout the games here. He hasn’t seen that in hockey before, and yeah, I guess it’s a spillover from football.

He and his wife really seemed to enjoy their year in Umeå. From interviews it seems he would have loved to stay with the team had they been promoted to the SHL (as they should have been! ). Right now he needs to think about it.
After the season he’s had, I suspect he has offers from all over Europe. I really hope we can convince him to come back.
But money talks, and there are many leagues that may offer him a greater pay check. :scowl:
