Jimmy Vesey drove his own car to the Canadian Tire Centre from Toronto once he got claimed on waivers yesterday. He’s in Montreal now, left his car at the rink in Kanata and will get it shipped to wherever he needs it eventually.
---“I’m excited for the opportunity. I think this team has a lot of good pieces in place and hopefully I can add to the mix and help the team win hockey games.” - Jimmy Vesey
Goals from 19 / 20 season. All nine of them...
And of course, his first fight in the NHL. Good choice..
Up until last season, he was a guy pushing 20 goals. After 1 down season, he becomes a UFA and is making pretty much league minimum. I wonder if this is Jake's future path.

Vesey sure looks excited to join us.

It will be if Jake can't find it within himself to come to work with a good attitude every game. That guy drives almost everyone on this board nuts.
Jake's great. Jake sucks.
WE most likely see him for another year. He isn't the player I'd expose in the expansion draft as I think he has legit trade value if that's what the team wants to do.
Toronto puts center Travis Boyd on waivers today. Want a 27 year old center for 700k? He's played 20 games this year!..Has two more points then Jay Beagle.
Pretty good production for a bottom 6 guy, better than most of our guys. Stats prob inflated a bit though. Wonder if Jimmy sniffs through the Leaves trash bin again and makes another claim.

A reminder of the draft lottery changes, approved by the Board of Governors:

Roussel expresses frustration about the Canucks schedule, “I look at other teams like Montreal, they’ve had 3 breaks already. It’s not fair.”
--“When there’s a will, there’s a chance. We have a few days to recharge the batteries and refocus so we’re ready for the next few weeks which will be a hard push for us. Hopefully we’ll be able to pull it off.” - Antoine Roussel on making the playoffs.-
Note;
PP1 looks to be the same. Michaelis appears to have replaced Höglander on Canucks PP2:
