Rafferty's a righty Micky.

Lots of Tatar representation again this year by the look of it on the Russian squad.

I know most of us are missing watching Nucks hockey right now, so here are some classic Canuck hits to fill the void.

https://canucksarmy.com/2020/11/22/10-b ... 0hplQ7QKKA

Anyone recall if Hammer ever threw those big hip checks anymore after he got injured from Looch?

Jake actually has some beauts as well. I'm sure we'll see some more b4 his career is done. :D

I'm surprised these hits didn't make the list:

1) Torres on Seabrook
2) Tryamkin destroying Benn
3) Bure's elbow on Churla. I rate this one #1 of all time, more than Linden breaking the glass. Linden was too gentlemanly and was helping the guy out aftewards. Bure's hit was on the dirty side, but that was when Bure was at his best and it was a big playoff game. Churla was being an ass against Bure and there was emotion/hatred building up, then Pavel just took things into his own hands. Churla's skating to the net without the puck watching the play, then out of nowhere... WHAMO! :P

Churla had announced before the series started what "HE" was going to do to Bure. Pavel just nipped things in the bud. S'all good. 8-)
Not to take anything away from Linden's hit but that glass was frozen Saran Wrap stretched to the limit.
If I recall, Kieth Ballard's hipper was first so Dan Hamhuis figured, mmm, I can do that too.
Edler's was good. Very good and he'll still do that today if he sees the right opportunity.
But Todd! We were talkin bout ole Jake again today and that there Tuber just shows exactly what was on the horizon, we thought.

Wow, and he still managed a 16% shooting percentage.

Maybe Gaud winds up a top 6 winger rather than a third line center.

Ben Kuzma: JT Miller endures family heartache, has high hopes for adjusting Canucks
https://nationalpost.com/sports/ben-kuz ... ng-canucks
Publishing date:Nov 26, 2020 • Last Updated 7 hours ago • 6 minute read
Miller was on the cusp of making the restrictive Edmonton post-season bubble more memorable and meaningful, but also knew his mother-in-law was battling brain cancer at age 58. The Canucks were about to play their biggest game in nine years — the last time they advanced to a conference final in a 2011 run to the Stanley Cup Final — and Miller had so much on his mind.
“A lot of guys were big pieces and it was shocking to me. We proved that we were right there and on the cusp of being close to winning. Now, it’s a bit of a reboot and obviously they’re putting a lot of faith in the younger guys. There are jobs to be won and good, healthy competition. But we do have good, young talented players who can take over our team at a very young age.”

For a big guy, Myers seems to get knocked around very easily. It happened in the playoffs as well when an average sized guy (Schenn?) did it. Tryamkin never gets manhandled like that.

Tree outweighs Myers by like 36 lbs.

He was the answer to Alex Tuch freight training Stetcher.

Don't get me wrong, I like Myers and glad he's in our lineup. I'd say he's more like a 50% guy though vs guys way smaller than him.
