I agree Brown Lizard. The optics of cutting Gaudette and watching the Air Thief float around for fifteen minutes a night is nauseating. Do they even need to wash his jersey after he plays?

It’s one big flow of bullshit when they talk like that, especially Green. Green loves his lunch bucket guys like Motte, Schaller, Leivo, Beagle, Pearson, Sutter etc and of course “little things” Eriksson.
Well this time it's got the ear of the media and they are a runnin with it. Not going to go over well if Gaudette is farmed'
Hurts the credibility, not to mention "the room". ............................................not good

Gaudette is already 23. If this has any chance of working, now would seem like the time.
Sure, a call-up would no doubt happen in the not too distant future but to make the team out of camp is right and he has, IMO.

I see no scenario where benning demotes Gaudette
I want to see a 3rd line of Gaudette, Sutter & Baertschi

You can tell by the way Green speaks he’s more frustrated with guys Gaudette is outplaying whom he wants to keep over Gaudette. Green is frustrated cause he sees the media firestorm coming when he sends Gaudette to Utica keeping guys he mentally pencilled in as staying prior to camp

Definitely. I'm pleasantly suprised by how well Sven has played too.

The 4th can be Jake, Beagle and...? Random underachieving scrub

It will be interesting to see who gets hurt in practice the next few days.

Motte seems to have made the team but he’s always had good camps. Beagle yuk but yeah he’s here

Beagle Motte and Jake 4th line
Sutter Baertschi Eriksson 3rd line
Miller Pearson Horvat 2nd
Ferland Pettersson Boeser 1st

Roussel, steps in for one of Virtanen or Mottr

Schaller and Leivo extra forwards

Gaudette McEwan to Utica
Goldobin waived

Book it. It’s Green and Benning

Fuck that no way.

Eriksson and motte and jake as the extra fwds/revolving scrubs

As the dirty dangler says i also see that 3rd with sven adam and sutter.

The 4th should be a random revolving scrub with Beagle and Leivo

Chemistry was found with Sven and Adam in preseason. Isn't that what it's for?

A third scoring line. What a concept!

I'm with ya, I heard Weisbrod on the radio a couple days ago and he said waiver status will have no impact on deciding the roster. And that was before Gaudette's last great preseason game.

I think it's being overthought by the media types - Gaudette 3rd line center, Sutter on his wing and killing penalties, both can take their strong-side faceoffs.

I agree. Green seems to be of the mentality that they need two scoring lines and two checking lines. This is backward thinking

I agree with Benning, today it’s about a top 9 and an energy line for your 4th line. Green I don’t believe sees it that way, the new NHL. Benning seems to be getting it now.

Maybe we should hold off on the crucifixion until we see who gets what jobs.

I anticipated alot more competition at this camp too & it just hasn't happened, Gaudette seems to be the only one who's done his offseason work & shown up ready.

I don't expect these are the lines that we will see but I would be interested in seeing the below over a 10 game span:

Beagle Sutter and Virt 4th
Baertschi Gaudette Goldobin 3rd
Miller Pearson Horvat 2nd
Ferland Pettersson Boeser 1st

Leivo or Motte as 13th

As I said - don't think it will happen - but I'd like to see it - to me those are 3 lines that can score along with an extreme 4th shutdown line.

Also, I would like to see Pearson maintain consistency for a while before anointing him as a fixture on the 2nd line.
