2019/20 Predictions

Post by Blob Mckenzie »

I’m jumping out of my shoes on this one. A 15 point improvement in the standings = 96 points and a playoff spot. Not sure if it will be a WC spot or 3rd in the Pacific. This is if the Canucks keep the injuries to a dull roar and a couple other WC teams get worse as I suspect they might.

Petterson- 85 points
Horvat- 70 points
Boeser- 65
Miller-49
Pearson-37
Ferkland-35

Finally some actual depth that can slide up and down the lineup. This team also gets Tanev and Edler in the lineup for 70+ games each.

Hughes- 45
Edler- 34
Myers- 32
Stecher- 26

Markstrom has a stellar year and bolts to UFA. Demko gets in 25 games and doesn’t do too badly.

Congratulations, Blobby Doyle - one of your most positive posts I've read. ;)

Pretty much agree with it, playoffs this year - and injuries will be the story, but at least we're a little deeper than the past few years.

Hey Corny, I used to be a very positive cat for many years regarding this here hockey team. Mostly due to Elias Petterson and Quinton Hughes I feel positive about them again. After a few years in the wilderness, they look like they are finally on the right track.

Feeling optimistic like Blob but 70+ games for Edler & Tanev might be a stretch.
However i think the organisation might have the D depth to make it through the inevitable injuries

It's been a hell of a dry spell, but last year was fun to watch, and this year should be even better (entertainment wise) and the playoffs will be icing on the cake.

50/50 for playoffs, Markstrom is a concern as will be injuries.

Whats the over/under on who will be injured first, the 3 choices are Edler/Tanev/Sutter? My pick is Tanev, gone by game 20.

Will be interesting to see how EP deals with his second year, I see a PPG guy this season and if QH can get 20 - 30 points then that is good. TG - how will he play QH? Seems the talking heads are saying that he will not be pressured by the fans to play QH on the 1st unit PP, wonder how long that lasts?

... this statement is ok, yet I get roasted for being in a 'Deadpool' that is won by picking players that are injured, with the winner being the GM with the most man games lost..

<sigh>..... I am so misunderstood...

And here I was wondering which 2 D-Men get injured in training camp, so I can see Woo get his 9 games in this year.

Woo won’t be getting nine games this year. I hope he dominates the Dub and makes the WJC team this year.

I'd rather do an over/under on who will get the first two goal game..... :rockin:
Happily, I can say there are at least more then there's been in years.

Wont predict individual player points but go out on a much sturdier limb and say we see post season play. :)

Baubles admits Doc and I have been correct for the past few years.

Thank you.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.
