The Score identified Blake Coleman as what Vancouver should do for Horvats wing.
Back to back 20 goal seasons, hits everything that moves, standout on the PK. 28 years old...1.8 cap hit through next season.
This move would be far more interesting that ancient legs Simmonds

He’d be a great pickup. He’d also cost a good prospect and a pick to get.The Brown Wizard wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 9:11 am The Score identified Blake Coleman as what Vancouver should do for Horvats wing.

He would be one player i would be willing to part with quality assets for. The team desperately lacks that dynamic.Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 9:26 amHe’d be a great pickup. I’d love him or miles wood, but thats more of a summer move where we can clear out some contracts. The appeal of Simmonds is he should be extremely cheap and while he won’t move the needle on the ice he’ll at least handle himself in a first round rough series. Even if we lose out in the first round having guys like Simmonds and ferland willing to rough it up to save face has value in my opinion. The Brown Wizard wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 9:11 am The Score identified Blake Coleman as what Vancouver should do for Horvats wing.

"Gillis never drafted any one of value, making the picks worthless"

I would see who wants a cost controlled right shot puck rusher in Troy Stecher,
Green never really took to him, he could blossom under the right conditions.
Troy Stecher for Ondrej Kase
Anaheim loves our dmen.

No way SKYO...Stetcher is a waiver calibre dman. Nobody will give up anything like Kase unless we heavily subsidize the move

Oh I don't know about that, Stecher has more value than you think, I know the fossil fuel sector guys around here, the rough necks don't much like the Stecher fella, but around the league he's valued more for his puck rushing skills/transitional dman. The Brown Wizard wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 10:36 amNo way SKYO...Stetcher is a waiver calibre dman. When Stecher gets almost 20min TOI avg he's scored 24 (2017) and 23 (2019) points respectively, this season behind Myers and Tanev he's only avg 15min TOI and is on pace for 16 points.
It's not like Kase is some all-star, he's kinda like 5-10% better version of Baertschi, except Kase hit 20 goals once, whereas Bart got to 18 goals once.

I bet if Benning waived him he wouldn't get claimed. Not at anything that starts with a 2 he wont

It makes total sense to trade a legit NHL d man in the heat of a playoff race. Especially when you only have 7 of them and 2 of them have a lengthy injury history.

old man rookie Brogan Rafferty I bet could step in and replace Stecher.

I'll take that bet, Wiz. If he's waived right now, at his present salary, he's gone in an hour. D-men are a valuable commodity and the leagueThe Brown Wizard wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 11:13 am I bet if Benning waived him he wouldn't get claimed. Not at anything that starts with a 2 he wont
is aware he has in the past played up to 20 even 25 minutes a game. Still relatively young.
I think a very good deal is out there if they're interested...

It’s called depth. Or in this case lack thereof. Deal Stecher after the season unless you’re getting another D back

I guess the definition of a "legit NHL d man" is the crossroads where opinions meet.Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 11:19 am It makes total sense to trade a legit NHL d man in the heat of a playoff race. Especially when you only have 7 of them and 2 of them have a lengthy injury history.
