Hopefully their price is dropping dramatically, Boeser gets signed, and Benning has just enough to add one of these two on a short term contract. These are the last two UFAs that I have any interest in. One of these might be okay on the second line, but it is highly unlikely the Canucks have enough cash to add either.
Dzingel mostly plays centre doesn’t he? If so, not seeing it. Ferland maybe, but with his injury issues and contract demand, it’s a risky signing, along the lines of Dave Clarkson, Martin Lapiointe, Milan Lucic.

If it were possible, (it still may be eventually), Ferland would be a sort of replacement for Baertschi on the top six.
I think the risk factor, though similar, would be a bit less. More consistent point production but say 1.5 to 1.75 more per year.
Haven't heard he's asking for ridiculous numbers. Has anyone?
