Well, we need to expose an eligible goalie in the expansion draft.

We need to lose a player in the expansion draft.

Maybe that's where Marky's value lies - re-sign him, expose him, then we don't need to worry about losing a Gaudette, Tryamkin, Juolevi, or whoever else winds up exposed, because Marky will probably be the best goalie exposed.

I haven't done a mock protection list, but we have a lot more players to worry about losing than we did with the Vegas draft.

Yeah, you need two solid goalies in Today's NHL.

I say keep Marky and give him his $5M x 5.

Obviously we can't give him a NMC though.

Expose him in the expansion draft (provided Demko doesn't crap out).

We're going to lose a solid player in the X draft this time no matter what.

If it's El Marko, it's El Marko...
