Horvat is producing at a rate to what I expected him to be. I consider his max production to be similar to that of Sam Reinharts - 20 to 25 goals a season, 30 to 40 assists. Not bad, not earth shattering. I like Bo, he has his limits but he’s foundational.

The Brown Wizard wrote: Thu Nov 28, 2019 1:13 pm Its not rocket appliances Mick...hes being played waaaay too many minutes.

If he was playing around 17 minutes a game instead of this ridiculous 24-25+ he would have some energy left.

Fix his minutes and watch his game return
There's more to it than that. The extra face-offs may take there toll a bit. ;)

17 minutes of non-stop faceoffs would still see Bo fresher than what we are seeing.
Wont deny that. Doesn't take the validity out of my statement though. (have a nice day) Kidding! Remember that? F**k I hated that.
So you're saying weight of the C, marriage, too many minutes, too many faceoffs...

Are there any other factors you'd like to throw in there? :D
Green. But I said I'd leave it there. But since I've been asked directly, There actually are things Trav could do to ease the workload.
I actually didn't say too many or too much. I said may take their toll a bit.
Sutter only played 29 games last year. We've gone thru Granlunds and Gagnes etc Green is so dependent on Bo now it's nuts, IMO.
Miller can take more. Gaudette needs to be trusted more. Petey can and should take more, he can do it.

There are other things involved here than face-off fatigue in regards to his drop off in point production.
You're really stuck on this whole faceoffs thing arentcha pal.

"Definitely yeah. Definitely takes too many faceoffs yeah."

Did I mention Bo's faceoffs-per-gm are down 13% this year? :D

Did I mention Bo's point production is NOT down this year? :D

Ten minutes to Wapner? :drink:

What’s wrong with saying Reinhart and Horvat being similar?

It will be interesting to see how they start against the Coilers tomorrow.

This is a big response game from this group. Post game against the Oilers, green can't say this game is a 'learning moment'.

Tomorrow's game Is a statement game. How we start is going to say a lot about this team. If we come out skating, passing crisp, actually PLAYING the game and followingbthey system.. I like this team, win or lose the game.

We get 4 shots a period, not string more than 2 passes together, take a bunch of bad penalties and have the 'tire fire' defence we are not making the playoffs.

The potential to come out flat (last road game of long trip, coming of sub par efforts, injuries, etc) is very high, and how we respond will be telling.

Ok here we go. Back 2 Back...home at home with the fuckin coil. 1984 all over again.

Kassian will look to make an impact ruining careers on the walls. What have we got to counter this?

As good as McDork is its Draisaitl who stirs the straw over there. We're going to need an answer to that top line or its going to be 4 losses in a row. If we can limit that line i like how we match up against the rest of their lineup.

Any hope of seeing some wounded returning?
