they aren’t making the playoffs if they trade Tanev and/or Demko.
I agree with this. If they're in the shithole in early February, which I doubt, then maybe you look at your options with Chris.
But it's been said for a couple of years, Demko was part of the future. I see no reason to think that's not starting now.
I don't buy in to this banter I've heard around the league, "you can always find a goalie". Sure.

Mick, only an idiot says (or 'banters') that.
Real people who build a team say 'you can't win without a goalie'.
The 'Chain of Command' is the chain I am going to beat you with until you understand I am in charge.

IMO, Cup-winning goalies are always about catching lightning in a bottle - which usually means a cheap-ish tender standing on his head, while cap resources in the forwards and defence do what's necessary.
Markstrom, Demko and Dipietro could all be that guy that catches fire in the spring, I don't think Bobrovsky at $10 mil is much more likely to go on a run as Marky and Demko.

Yes Mickey. Only the teams that make the playoffs have a chance to win a championship in the NHL.

Great contribution. not into "YOUR" weird stuff. I am very interested in whether or not, this thread will be analogous to the team "this" year.
I hope not but if by chance it is, although a seemingly talented draft pool, most of the most notables are on the small size. There is
this Swedish kid, Alexander Holtz might be worth a look. Real early though.

I know the 1st stings but Miller is currently riding shotgun on the top line and scoring at a career year pace. We arent finishing in the bottom 5 so the pick will end up around 10-15 worst case ontario.
Adding a top line winger of that calibre and price point wasnt coming free. I say it was worth it
The pick isn’t locked into a certain year. So if the pick is 10-15 in 2020, Vancouver makes the pick. If Vancouver makes the playoffs this year, Tampa gets to pick in 2020. If Vancouver misses the playoffs this season, Tampa automatically gets the pick in 2021.
Clear as mud?

He was and is. If by chance we don't make the post season it wont be Miller's fault from what I've seen so far.
