He doesn’t have Sami’s shot either, but Joni can be a bit of a prick...excellent.

He sounds like a solid 3rd round selection for us.

Round 4 - #113: Jason Kunz @ #113 6'3 F

His hand-eye is excellent, and his balance in front of the net is so strong. Kunz really shows an understanding of his game and where he needs to go to be successful. His passing ability is evident. Kunz's willingness to get to high danger areas makes him so dangerous. His shot is heavy, and he possesses a quick release.

Drafting size is a good idea after these playoffs...

Round 5 - #144: Jacob Truscott - 6'1 / 180 / D

Truscott uses great edge work and mobility to find great passing options and exits from his own end of the ice. One can take solace in the fact that Truscott is a technically skilled passer who can thread the needle in all three zones -- even if he doesn't leverage that often enough to be an impact player, proof of concept exists.

Couple D men and a lead footed kid going to UND. Let’s torch a pick on Skin Tag Bertuzzi in the next two rounds. Come on Iggy!

The Brown Wizard wrote: Tue Oct 06, 2020 7:03 am I'd say Benning has the upper hand with both Bill Armstrong and Markstrom. The yoties don't want to give away their franchise defenseman but he has them over a barrel. Same with Marky. He wants to stay on and see where this team can go more than he wants to cash in with detroit and suffer that fate.

It sure looks like Tanev is gone though.
Yeah, Tanev looks gone, kind of mixed on it but in some ways I agree, he was lucky last season (injury wise). One of those hard choices. Now if we do land OEL, it would make loosing Tanev easier to take.
Taking on Larsen's contract would be very much a deal for the now, not the long term future. Better win the cup in the next three years.
If we sign Tanev to a 5 year contract he'll be 35 years old when it's done.

If we trade for OEL and his contract he'll be 35 years old when it's done.
In that scenario we have a $3M difference in cap hit though.
The $3M+ difference in salary is something we all know about and has nothing to do with the subject at hand.

Should I have also mentioned water is wet?

Micky seemed to be suggesting that going with OEL over Tanev would shorten our window somehow...
Where did you get the idea I thought we should re-sign Tanev for 5 years?
What makes you think I thought you were thinking we should re-sign Tanev for 5 years?

What I was actually doing was: Calling you a gomer for suggesting trading for OEL would shorten our window somehow.

Hear 'whoosh' a lot do ya?... ya big fat gomer.

See this is why 7 people have you on ignore...

Round 6 - #175 Dmitry Zlodeyev 5'11 C

Ranked #147 by FUTURE CONSIDERATIONS
Ranked #57 by TSN/CRAIG BUTTON
Ranked #115 by MCKEEN'S HOCKEY
Ranked #32 by NHL CENTRAL SCOUTING (EU Skaters)

Dmitri Zlodeyev is a player who gives it his all on every shift. While he may not be as well-known as some other prospects coming out of the MHL, he still impressed this past season playing for MHK Dynamo Moskva. In 42 games played, he managed to score 12 goals and added 16 assists for 28 points to go along with 45 minutes in penalties.

While looking at his stats, some people may expect Zlodeyev to be a physical player but he does not use his body like some scouts wish he would. While he has decent size, Zlodeyev does not do well along the boards and is usually outmuscled in a one on one situation. If he can learn to use his body to his advantage, it will certainly become a positive in his game but at this point, it takes away from his overall game down low.

NHL Potential

Zlodeyev possesses tools that some people simply cannot teach. His effort on the ice is something that never ceases and he is always looking to make a play at both ends of the ice. In the future, if he develops properly, I could see him becoming a solid middle-six center who sees some time one the power play. Although some centers make the transition to the wing when they make the NHL, I see Zlodeyev being able to stay in the middle as he is really valuable in the offensive zone.

Risk/Reward Analysis
Risk – 3/5, Reward – 3.5/5
Fantasy Hockey Potential
Offense – 8/10, Defense – 7/10

Well, because the last time Gary was in China for NHL promotion he signed an endorsement agreement with XuShaoFa
