2020 NHL Draft
Getting a top five pick in this draft would be massive.
Lanfreniere, Byfield, Lundell, Raymond, Holtz, Drysdale all project as franchise type players at this point. Providing there’s no Olaf type blunder in this year’s draft and securing a guy like Byfield or Lafreniere next year and you can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Re: 2020 NHL Draft
It's a very good draft that could potentially be amazing, depending on how the prospects trend this coming year. If I'm Jimbo there's almost nothing that would convince me to trade my 1st rounder in this draft.
Re: 2020 NHL Draft
Olaf gonna play well enough with Quinn so we will be getting a pick outside the top 15 in 2020.
A long time ago, a baseball player remarked: "If I owned a ballclub, I'd hire a $5,000 coach and a $15,000 scout."

With our first rounder which could be a top 5 and theirs which should be in the 20s, I’d be stokedStrangelove wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2019 12:14 pmRight, we need to trade for Leaves' 1st in 2020...Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2019 7:08 am Getting a top five pick in this draft would be massive.
Build through the draft Old Timer. Any Tanev trade will hopefully return at least a 2020 2nd. Not sure if they’d cough up their 1st for him but they might. Their D is almost as bad as Vancouver’s

Re: 2020 NHL Draft
oh, nope, just saying OJ will help this team score and get points in the grand scheme of things.
As I just mentioned in the other thread I see Hughes and Schenn paired up again, Hughes to score, while Schenn protects.

DOYLE WOULD’VE RATHER HAD KEVIN HAYES AT 7 YEARS 7 MILLION PER INSTEAD OF J.T. MILLER FOR A LATE 1ST RD PICK

Re: 2020 NHL Draft
This is the pick to keep. A top 5 pick in this draft would be mint. Not to mention the UFA class especially for D men is way better. Hang on to the money for a year Aquaman. No Myers please.
Guys like Byfield and Lafreniere could step in in 2020/21 and play in the top 6 right away. It’s a deep draft that has been compared 2015.

Re: 2020 NHL Draft
The Canucks are strong contenders to be a wild card team. If we don’t make the playoffs we will be picking around 12th to 15th. Who do we like in that area?micky107 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 24, 2019 4:08 pm Brand new list;

If we don’t make the playoffs you get your 2020 lottery pick
