They have at least 2 more years with this roster backstopped by MAF before he probably shows typical goaltending decline considering his style. 4 more years until Max will need to be succeeded. Stastny won’t be a difficult replacement and should be none to difficult to trade before his final year. Their blueline core is very young, all things considered.
I think Fleury is the key, there's never been an expansion team with a Vezina-calibre goalie. Almost 1/4 of his wins were shutouts this year.
There were several expansion draft players who exploded for career years (hello, Willie Karlsson!) but IMO Fleury was the key. And not surprisingly, without a strong postseason this year, the Knights are one-and-done, in spite of having the best offence in the playoffs.
Yeah Marc-Andre Fleury is back to his all-star ways, has a career total 439 wins, 56 shutouts, 3x Cup champion, Gold medalist for Team Canada and a sure fire bet hockey hall of famer. What a nice way to start your franchise.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

I don't know about that, one Cup as starter, gold medal from the press box. He's won a lot of playoff series though.

I hate Vegas, the City
How is this possible?
I fucking LOVE Vegas
I spent a lot of time in that area. It was ok for the first few times, but it loses it's luster very quickly. I go through there (occasionally stay there) around 6 to 8 times a year. I've had credit cards compromised at least 3 times while I was there, and I am very careful with them. Another thing - I don't gamble and I hate having a gambling terminal in front of me wherever I go - you barely can find a bar that doesn't have a gambling terminal at every seat.

Not that many of the MAF type goalies around anymore. Too bad.
Demko has a chance to be sort of that kind.
So many six-six BIG stay at homes with good glove hands,(make urself look big, ug).
Just wait till one day when the NHL brass takes Mick's advice and dumps the trapazoidy thing.
Imagine how that could make 3 on 3 even more entertaining.

He’s going to end up with close to 600 wins. Played in the finals five times. Three cups. He’s a sure fire HHOFer. He belongs there long before Roberto Luongo.

Closer to 550 than 600. He's got 3 years left and is good for 35 wins per season which will put him at 544 at the age of 37.

He's played in the finals 3 times, and is 1 for 3. He's also been eliminated in the 1st round 6 times.
It'll be interesting, he's certainly much more likely than Osgood to make it into the hall. And it seems everyone has forgotten the 6 or 7 years of Sidney Crosby's prime that he was blamed for the penguins' playoff woes.

Pens might not make the 2017 finals without him (shutout caps in game 7 round 2).
He's played on some good teams, but his stats don't lie.
