4 Odjick 91/92 ........ 348

8 Williams 83/84 ...... 294
9 Butcher 87/88 ....... 285
10 Odjick 93/94 ....... 271

The highest number of penalty minutes in recent years:
Roussel has 118 PIM so far this season.
Dorsett had 74 PIM last season and in 2016/17 Tryamkin had 64 PIM.

The really high numbers seem to be a thing of last millennium.
Mainly because there is less fighting. :(
Why are more players getting hurt?
See above.

Right... and most recently in the 85/86 season. :look:

But check out Dorsett's pace - 29 goals and 303 PIMs!

Bertuzzi had 46 goals and 144 penalty minutes in 03-04......needed just a wee wafer moore
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Shanahan did once or twice. Probably flirted with both totals a dozen times. They don’t make players like that anymore

Or rather, the coaches won't allow players to play like that anymore. :|

So, Petey has set a new standard for most points by a Canuck in his rookie season.

1 Elias Pettersson 2018-19.... 64
2 Ivan Hlinka 1981-82............ 60
3 Pavel Bure 1991-92............. 60
4 Trevor Linden 1988-89......... 59
5 Dennis Ververgaert 1973-74.. 57

But he is still only fourth in rookie goals:

1 Bure .......... 34
2 Boeser ........ 30
3 Linden ........ 29
4 Pettersson .... 27
5 Ververgaert ... 26

Six more games.
He has 2 goals less than Linden, three less than Boser, seven less than Bure.
Six more games.

I think he may catch Linden and Boeser, but seven goals in just six games....
Bure's record 34 goals in a rookie season will probably still stand.

OK, then.
Four games to go.
Pettersson at 27 goals, 38 assists, 65 points in 67 games.

It's a pretty impressive record for a rookie, but can he improve it further?

Will he reach 70 Points?
Will he reach 30 goals?
Can he get back to 1 ppg?

I assume catching Bure's 34 rookie goals is not going to happen, but 30 would have him tied at second with Boeser.

He's looking more tentative out there and is really going out of his way to avoid hits. I think he can get 3 goals in four games but I also think his confidence is a little less than at the start of the season. The guy looks tired. Maybe if he gets to play with Hughes he'll get those four goals. I'd like to see one more 5 point night.
The only HW the Canucks need

There's an injury...there has to be. He doesnt have that explosive first step. He cant jump in those holes like he could earlier.

Your most likely right. He's not the type to take time off when hurt. Something like a bruised hip or along those lines.
Horvat never lets on, neither does Brock.

Yeah I believe you’re correct. He has no pop at all off the line. 2 goals in 20’odd games

How about this?

NHL has a long season and he has never played this many games?
Moved to another country
Has to respond to reporters after every game
Has idiots dancing by his car
Has the weight of an entire nation on his shoulders
Is whacked/hacked and pushed in every game
Has the glare of being a possible rookie of the year award

Take all that into account and it is no wonder that he is tired at the end of this season. Now that he is a full time Canuck he will have the ability to access the trainers and have help on diet etc. in the off season. Sorry Per but I prefer he take the summer off and concentrate on next season, hopefully to reach the 90 point plateau.

--He likes to play lots.
--He likes Canada. Lots of Swedes do.
--He likes making idiots of reporters.
--Some of them are women. 8-)
--Which nation. Canada? Sweden? or Canuck's nation?
--Whacks back. Hacks back. Pushes back in every game.
..If glaring was a criteria for Rookie of the Year Award, it was decided in October.

Take that all into account and I still think he has a minor boo-boo, nothing more.
He'll Rock the World's.
He has access to the best trainers now but if that's classified as an ability, like everything else in hockey, I'm sure he'll be good at it. 8-)
90 points is realistic but depends not only on his own wellbeing but that of his team-mates as well.
