And there it is!

Most points by a Canuck in his rookie season:

1 Elias Pettersson 2018-19.... 61
2 Ivan Hlinka 1981-82............ 60
3 Pavel Bure 1991-92............. 60
4 Trevor Linden 1988-89......... 59
5 Dennis Ververgaert 1973-74.. 57
6 Dale Tallon 1970-71............ 56
7 Rick Blight 1975-76............. 56
8 Brock Boeser 2017-18........ 55
9 Dixon Ward 1992-93............ 52
10 Jocelyn Guevremont 1971-72 51
11 Thomas Gradin 1978-79....... 51
12 Lars Molin 1981-82............. 46
13 Patrik Sundstrom 1982-83.....46
14 Igor Larionov 1989-90......... 44
15 Don Tannahill 1972-73......... 43

Albeit we all know it's really 62, when you include his penalty shot goal against Dallas... :drink:

Still trailing Bure, Linden and Boeser in rookie goals though.

All is as it should be in Per's world. Swedes now hold every canucks franchise record.

And goalie stats.

Marx has improved a lot this season, but Luongo is still by far the best goalie the franchise has seen.

So, let's look at PIM, shall we?

1 Gino Odjick ........ 2127
2 Garth Butcher ..... 1668
3 Stan Smyl .......... 1556
4 Harold Snepts ..... 1446
5 Dave Williams ..... 1324
6 Donald Brashear .. 1159
7 Alexandre Burrows 1066
8 Dana Murzyn ........ 900
9 Kevin Bieksa ......... 879
10 Todd Bertuzzi ...... 822

Closest of current players:

25 Alexander Edler .... 533

Not sure there is a place in the league for the Odjick/Butcher type of players any more.

If he can skate, there is a spot on my team for him. They are now called "Reeves/Wilson" type of players

Most PIM in a season:

1 Brashear 97/98 ..... 372
2 Odjick 96/97 ........ 371
3 Odjick 92/93 ........ 370
4 Odjick 91/92 ........ 348
5 Williams 80/81 ...... 343
6 Williams 81/82 ...... 341
7 Odjick 90/91 ........ 296
8 Williams 83/84 ...... 294
9 Butcher 87/88 ....... 285
10 Odjick 93/94 ....... 271

The highest number of penalty minutes in recent years:
Roussel has 118 PIM so far this season.
Dorsett had 74 PIM last season and in 2016/17 Tryamkin had 64 PIM.

The really high numbers seem to be a thing of last millennium.

Only two players in the league have been north of 200 PIM in a season in the padt five seasons;
Steve Downie, 248 PIM in 2014/15 and Michael Haley, 212 PIM in 2017/18.

Last time someone had more than 300 was Zenon Konopka with 307 in 2010/11.

I think I know why Edler wants to stay a Canuck - he's gunning for the record! :D

I was always a fan of the 40 goal 200 penalty minute club guys like Al Secord. He did it twice in his career.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.
