Mediocre?

The Canucks just beat a team with the 2nd best record in the NHL.

1-2 years is here!

The Hughes plane is about to land! The MacEwan plane has landed!

We beat a team that took it to us hard for almost the entire 65 minutes.

No we are definitely a mediocre team at this point

Good teams find ways to win games they didn’t have a right to winning, c’mon UDL you know this, stop being a jabrone. You’re better than that

Halladay god bless was doing stupid, cocky plane tricks that led to his demise. It wasn’t an accident

You can argue we are better than our record and support it with games we dominated elite teams but saturdays game isnt one of those. They had a 65 minute power play

Hughes scares me. I've only seen him play in the games at the WJC and I never once saw him play defence. I don't buy the chatter about him being "a different type of player" or "he'll be a rover", "it will be fine".

The bench mark for the defensive rover is Neidermeyer. There was never any questions about him playing a strong defensive game.

He could CoHo and never transcend to the NHL game. I hope he can make it.

yup, people need to pump the brakes on the Hughes train.
Just because Boeser & Eli were hot outta the gate doesn't mean Hughes will solve this teams Defense deficiencies.
Bringing him in for a few games at the end of this season will certainly help the Canucks assess his abilities at the NHL level.

I have the same concerns. Gotta see him at the NHL level. All the more reason I think it's oh so important he gets those few games in this year.
Everyone wants to see what he can do, (so do I). But we AND HE, need to see what he can get away with...

Hughes was never drafted to, and never will, fix our defensive woes. That’s not his game. He was drafted to be a point generating, offensive dynamo, PP specialist, one trick pony. He was drafted to be that elite offensive guy on the backend. We still need to fix the D side of defence, with or without Hughes.
