By the score sheet it looks like someone was going after the Hughes boys at the end of the game. Also looks like baby Tkachuk
will follow in his brothers footsteps with his intent to injure penalty.

Theres only a quick peek at Woo lighting up that kid but it looked pretty sweet. His physicality will be very welcome to offset some of our smaller players back there
I remember the old joke, "Why aren't there any Chinese in the NHL?"

"Because every time they go into a corner, they open up a store."

Man, times have changed. I miss those old corner grocery stores from when I was a kid.

I looked at the replay and it looks like J. Hughes started it when he drove to the net and gave a little cross-check to McIsaac (#2) first. McIsaac retaliates with a slash to the ankles, then #26 and Q. Hughes jumps in to make it a 3-on-1.

Say what you want about the Hughes brothers' skills, but J. Hughes is kind of a spoiled brat on the ice, a bit of an asshole :D

Both brothers don't back down either.

Although Quinn 'only' had two assists against Canada, he may have played better than against Sweden. Lot's of good set ups & elusive edge work.

Canada 6 - USA 5: Quinn Hughes highlights
Less Canucks embarrassment please.

UDL, pay your debt ya deadbeat!

It’s funny, Asians have traditionally been too small to play hockey but now finally here’s someone who’s smashing the white kids.

Secretly, the old Chinese immigrants from way back are happy they got one of their own to railroad spike them Gwai Lo’s when they cross the wrong tracks.

Aqua is probably wetting himself thinking about all the Woo! jerseys he’ll sell in Van and in China.

Yeah, QH was really good against Canada but he also had some bad plays. Hopefully the fans won’t turn on him for those inevitable mistakes. We’ve had lots of high-risk D, but never a real offensive driver like QH.

I just realized it was Jett Woo who came to the defence of his D partner against the Hughes Brothers & Cotter gang-rape. While down on the ice with the zebras holding Woo, Tkachuk comes in typical sneaky-tkachuk fashion to get a few free shots in. Woohoo gives J. Hughes one last shove as he's being escorted off.

I hope the Jett-ster remembers this in the bigs and lays out Brady in a Bunch via a massive open-ice hit or some bare knuckles. Quinn will probably openly weep for his buddy, but Canuck fans will rejoice.

An older article but something to get you thinking about what kind of asset QH has the potential to be

Our 2018 Defensive prospects showing some promise...

Hughes

"Hughes was the best player at the Sport Chek World Junior Showcase tournament — and it wasn’t even close."

Woo

"Jett Woo proved that he's more than just a catchy name at the World Junior Showcase."

It sure is nice to be excited by some of our prospects. I warmed to the fact we selected Juolevi and am cautiously optimistic. I’ve always been high on Demko. I liked the pick up of Dahlen from Ottawa. I’ve been excited about Petterson but cautiously so. But Hughes, he has me wet!! Just don’t tell him cause it might scare him.
