So here's how it works.

A group of posters wants to create an echo chamber.

They systematically "report" posts by folks who represent a serious challenge to their "logic".

The poster they fear is thereby hit with so many infractions that they can't post there anymore.

Echo chamber secure.

That post of mine was considered by... the powers that be... to be detrimental to HFCanucks.

Meanwhile the following posts are considered good for the site, each of these received multiple "likes"...

NHL Seattle sends me e-mails almost every week and since I'm a huge hockey fan in the area, they're constantly sending me surveys and asking my opinion. In literally every survey all I say is "Don't hire ****ing ******s like the Canucks."
I'd like to think I'm the key strategist to the beginning of a brilliant future for them.

That's just from the first few pages of the Benning Extended thread, before I ventured in.

Sounded like one of those suicide cults, so I felt a moral duty to talk them off the ledge.

I noticed one long-time Canuck poster there has changed his handle to "Seattle Totems".

I like how they constantly whine about”the old boys club” and ex players getting jobs in coaching and management etc. Well duh, that’s how the majority of job positions are filled these days. Sure you need to be qualified but if things are equal or close the guy who knows someone or is related to someone is going to to get the gig. In pretty much all walks of life unless you are talking about high powered lawyers or surgeons/specialists etc, you are going to need to know someone. Just because you can figure out a spreadsheet and break down some analytical data doesn’t make you qualified to run a sports franchise.
