No, I wouldn't either.
Wrong time.
Do think he's gotten a bum rap in Montreal though. Good player. Always thought that.
More roster spots have to be available for those that do what it takes to merit one.
Wow, Green and his staff will have to be decisive yet fair yet open minded and on and on.
Big responsibility this fall.

The good thing about having owners with deep pockets is they'd approve of trading for Erik Karlsson and hell even Ryan, just so the price would go down asset wise from the Canucks end.
The aquabros love exciting hockey.
& how the Redwings had the Russian 5, we'd have the Swede5.
Dahlen-Pettersson-Eriksson
Edler-Karlsson
I'm just sayin'
Just imagine this high octane PP1: Horvat-Pettersson-Boeser
Hughes-Karlsson
lol sheesh that's an unstoppable force right there.
A man can dream.

Tanev + Juolevi + Eriksson... for... Karlsson + Ryan
The Eriksson/Ryan swap saves the cheap-ass Sens $14M in real dollars over the course of those contracts.
Sens only have to pay Olli his ELC wages for 3 years... plus he will be exempt in the expansion draft.
Sens top 4 for many years to come:
Chabot - Ceci
Juolevi - Tanev
Canucks next season:
Edler - Karlsson
Hughes - Gudbranson
MDZ - Stecher
Pouliot - Biega
(trade Hutton for a pick)
(Tryamkin and Woo incoming with a year or two)
Gitterdun...

Not too shabby there SL!
plan B:
Habs: Eriksson + Hutton + conditional Canes pick if MaxPac re-signs.
Canes: Pacioretty
Canucks: Faulk

Re Randall McCoy’s proposal: Throw in a 1st (not Elmer’s usual gift of a 2nd to balance out a trade that doesn’t need balancing, but I digress) and the Senators won’t hang up

Tanev has the option to submit an 8-team no trade list, Eriksson's is 15 teamsStrangelove wrote: ↑Wed Jul 18, 2018 1:05 pmOkay Skyo.SKYO wrote: ↑Wed Jul 18, 2018 11:21 am The good thing about having owners with deep pockets is they'd approve of trading for Erik Karlsson and hell even Ryan, just so the price would go down asset wise from the Canucks end.

Senators are in a bigger tire fire than the Canucks, why would they agree to go there, especially if it means they are losing their best player?

Well I take Tanev for a true Canadian and this would get him closer to home.
Actually, Eriksson has a full no-trade clause for two more years, but GMJB has gotten players to waive before.
Maybe Jimmy prints out all the hate posts about Loui by Blob/Reef and LE says "Get me outta here, I'll go anywhere!"

Trouba gets 1-year, $5.5 million in arbitration. After a "marathon" arbitration arson session, they just literally split the difference!
I had thought there was a rule that a player isn't tradeable after the team accepts the arbitration ruling, but I must have had that mixed up with matching an offer sheet.

from the dark thread;
My el perfecto top 6 would be, *by 2019/20:
Ritchie - Horvat - Boeser
Dahlen - Pettersson - Virtanen
Roussel - Sutter - Granlund (the ultimate checking 3rd line)
Schaller/Leipsic - Beagle - Gaudette
Gaunce/Archie/Boucher etc
Move out Goldobin, Baertschi, Eriksson and Gagner.
Word I still want to trade for LW Ritchie, he'll be the bodyguard on the Bo Horvat and Brock Boeser line.Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Sun Jul 29, 2018 11:59 amRoyalDude wrote: ↑Sat Jun 21, 2014 9:41 am Saw an interview of Ritchie at the combine. He looks like a giant version of Tootoo. Looks tough as nails, says Lucic is his idol. Hmmm, I'd be very happy if we get him at 6. A one two punch of him and Kassian? Look out L.A. Then draft Hunter Smith in the 2nd. Apparently Smith and Ritchie had a pretty good scrap this year. If we can't beat them with skill we at least become a team nobody likes to play

You may also be thinking of walk away rights if the award exceeds 3.5 million.
The only HW the Canucks need

I remember a lot of posting at the time of the Weber offer sheet, about whether there was some way for the Canucks to trade for him, but I think a team can't match an offer sheet then trade the guy.Hockey Widow wrote: ↑Sun Jul 29, 2018 3:51 pmESQ wrote: ↑Sun Jul 22, 2018 5:45 pm Trouba gets 1-year, $5.5 million in arbitration.
