"So Hutton, Tanev, Virtanen for Nylander + ______?"

Skyo - if we move Hutton and Tanev, yet sign Karlsson the team will still be horrendous on the back end. Move anyone other than Hutton as we need him to play 4 - 6 in the rotation. As TI will still be hard up against the cap send them the 2020 1st or a prospect instead of Hutton.

If we do move Hutton then we will need to sign 3 D this summer to attract any big names.
The luxury of having both Hughes AND Karlsson, does it really matter who the other dmen are? those guys will help keep the attack deadly.

All we need is some cheap defensive dmen types like a Hainsey, Lovejoy, Schenn etc to hold the fort till Juolevi and Woo are ready. On top of likely having Edler back with Stecher and depth pieces in Teves, Brisebois, Sautner, Chatfield.

Could simplify, Ben Hutton + Jake Virtanen for Nylander + pick.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Benning better stay away from Karlsson. He's already having groin issues.

I like a lot of Benning's work but he's a bit too conservative. I'm hoping he gets fired after the season.

As far as trades, I'd look at something like Tanev for a Kapanen move. If the Canucks get a poor lottery result then maybe trade down and add that way. The draft and reclamation projects will not turn this team into a contender anytime soon.

By my reckoning your bald spot is now the size of a toonie

... and will be the size a saucer by the expansion draft.

So yeah, soon we won't be able to compare it to coinage...

I imagine Blob holds the mirror at such an angle that doesn’t tell the whole story mostly because he really doesn’t want to know the truth

Hughes hasn't played a game in the NHL yet and you are heralding him as the second coming of Bobby Orr.

Woo finally had a decent year in his last year of Junior. Kind of the same trajectory as Pouliot.

But by all means trade Hutton, I mean he's only one of our not terrible defensemen. He is expendable

I am afraid Karlsson in Vancouver will be Tanev with a $12million price tag.

Hughes and Karlsson will play 60 minutes a game? No? Then it still matters who the other d-men are. That attitude is how you wind up with Stetcher, Pouliot and Biega.

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.
