Try listening to the Sekeres and Price show. It’s painful.
This is what happens when they need clicks for their work. 24/7 sports so they have to fill it up with junk.

Hard job to do today and constantly being relevant.
That's why I really wish Jim Rome was back on one of the sports radio stations, especially at this time of year.
Romey would be good 12 months a year. Ditto for DP. Need some other content then the same two stations talking about the same three crappy teams 24-7-365.

Patrick's show is good, so is Eisen's. Rome needs to be taken in cautious amounts. He's good, but the same problem of having a lot of time to fill causes the same thing you get with our local radio shows: repetition. He also has this tendency to say "that's the last I'll say on the subject, because I refuse to get drawn in" then he proceeds to carry on about the subject for another hour with intermittent comments about how he refuses to talk about it. :?

It's also a little weird to listen to these guys during NHL playoffs time and they are more concerned about some incredibly mundane aspect of early season baseball or off-season NFL. For that reason, it's good we have the local guys...

You don't hear much swearing on the radio at all.
Sports with no curse words, ick.
There is a tiny, tiny bit on O'niel's C-fox morning show, but........
Other people must be clamoring for better and different sports talk.
Guess #1, CRTC rules are too strict.
#2, Just not enough advertisers in our area?

You never listened to Rome's show at night when it was on 10;40?
That's a talk show.
Look it up.

His TV show is even more biting.
Best part is his guests can be themselves. Well, pretty much.

I'm starting to think that JB is thinking of letting Eddie walk and just use that money on a guy like Myers. Myers is younger, bigger, more durable and is a RS D that the team desperately wants/needs.

We'll probably re-sign Edler near the end of the month after Canucks management works out a thousand scenarios and decide it's best to keep Edler even with a NMC, the team will figure out what best way to manage the defense for the expansion draft.

While Edler likely see's his minutes diminish thanks to the improved play of Hutton and new uberstar rookie Hughes taking over offensively, time management to keep Edler healthier and not have to be a workhorse 24/7.

Tanev should be moved for picks at the draft.

IF Edler and his camp continue to think that the Canucks should give him a 3 year deal then they are out to lunch and time to move on. How does he expect the Canucks to have to take 1 of their limited protection options on him is beyond me. It is better to have the luxury of protecting a lesser player than have to use it on someone like him.
