I don't get having Kero up. I know there's not a lot of love for Gaunce, but he has a better ppg than Kero and is 2 years younger. I know there's more to hockey than that, but still...

I’m sure this is just pressbox duty, it gives Kero some extra cash as well, gaunce is better served playing with the young talent in Utica.

Someone, either Benning or Green, said they weren't expecting the call-up to get in any games, so that's why they left more interesting prospects on the farm, so they can get game action.

Defenders ranked by worst plus/minus; Guddy at #3. I don't really think that tells much of a story by itself (OEL is high on the list, as is DrewD, but at least both have high points for and play lots of minutes). What does stand out is Dion Phaneuf at .05PPG and only 14min/game, which just seems staggeringly bad given the $7m contract.

At the Swedish Sports Awards tonight he was named best newcomer of 2018.
Not just in hockey, but in sports in general.
