It is if you believe it is. I think it will cost a 2nd or a pretty good prospect to move on from Loui Eriksson
Unless he clears waivers.
At which point we will be stuck with his cap hit.....which is kind of what we want to get rid of.
I would take Loui over Baertschi at the latter's price tag.
It would be nice to see Petterson top 70 points. Also for Horvat and Boeser to hit 60 points each would be a nice accomplishment. Though some posters feel that Sutter is just about as good as Horvat.
The next highest scoring skater is Roussel with 31 points. Edler leads the D men with 25 points. TheCanucks need offence from their D and they badly need three more top six forwards.

If you consider Pettersson and Boeser and Horvat elite players, then the team needs to find at least another 3 before they can properly build their team into a true contender...
That likely takes another 2 to 3 years worth of quality drafting, so no need to fret over players who will be gone when that time comes...In the meantime if they give the club the intangibles including mentoring skills, then they are good players to have...
Granlund, Eriksson, Sutter, Schaller and Spooner do none of those things. Replace them with younger faster players. Beagle, Tanev, Edler and Roussel, Markstrom and even Horvat are enough mentors
I see three core forwards here. Need probably 5.
I see maybe one core D man here if Hughes pans out. Probably need three.
Goaltending appears to be an organizational strength.
The Canucks are a few core players short I’m afraid.

This off-season I would be happy if we only add two top-4 D men. Beggars can't be choosers.
Looking at the individual production of our players and comparing it to the rosters of playoff teams, we are at least one more year away from being in the wildcard mix at this time of year.....I'm thinking we get a wildcard spot in 2021. Next year will be a repeat of this year if nothing significant gets added in July.
You're spot on when you say we need 3 more.
I do think Karlsson and Myers being added to the back end would have us fighting until the last game or two for that final wild card spot next season though.

We need one more legit top 6 winger, I vote for toffoli or nylander. Roussel and leivo can fill top 6 roles.
We only have one legit top 6 winger
