Interesting observation, and worth looking up.

They're 16th for Shots Against, and 6th for Shot Attempts Against: link

But the concerning one is they're 30th for shot attempt differential at -88 through 6 games. However they are keeping fairly good company down there, with Anaheim (31st), NYI (28th), Washington (27th), Philly (26th), Kings (23rd).

The wins are nice but I see a team that seems to have the puck substantially less than the other team and a team that spends too much time in their own zone.

Maybe they’ll get a bit more aggressive at home.

DONT JINX.

I dunno Blob....i see a fast, aggresive team that comes at opponents in waves. Its such a different look than the past handful of years.

They’re definitely quicker. Just pointing out that a LOT of guys are dropping down to block shots. I guess that’s negativity

Butt seriously, nice to hear Elias had a light workout Monday and a heavier workout yesterday.

Starting to sound like he'll be back Saturday to face the Bruins.

(watch for Marchand to push him around after the whistle and then turtle to draw a penalty)

low compared to what? I bet if it was compared to other rookies of other teams in their first game of the year, its right on target...
What I saw, I thought he was not bad at all. Great stride, quick.
Maybe the plan was keep it short.
Wids thought maybe he wasn't using his team mates enough and Green didn't like that. Could be true but with the coach not giving a presser, (that I've heard of yet), can't say.
If he did get grounded, I might be a wee bit  .
Actually it would be a little ironic because wasn't that almost exactly Goldobin's problem before Elias entered the picture?

Or Gaudettes time was down because he is the newest guy to the squad, they are in a close game with 10 min left.

Coach thinks: “we could win this, but I would hate for the guy who is not as familiar with the systems as our bottom 2 lines to make a rookie mistake and cost us the game.. .. Vancouver media would roast him...”

... and Gaudette gets no more ice time...

Hmmm. I will see next game. I haven't noticed that so much but then again...my vision may have been clouded by my love for the halfling leaf

the problem is, if he's not effective we need Goldobin and or Erickisson to step up. Goldobin was near invisible last night. perhaps the chemistry is not as good as with Peterson. I'm not too worried. Green manages his kids pretty consistently.
The only HW the Canucks need
