With us he was expected to straddle top six top nine. He’s not a top six guy. Playing behind two top lines and he has game. A dime a dozen play, for a team that has a true top six already. I was glad he was moved out. I bet he is too.
He was Nashville’s 2nd line center before they got Turris

I think the pens maybe would have kept Sutter had he was still on a cheaper deal, but they wanted more depth and cap space so they got Bonino in the Sutter trade and enough cap to sign Eric Fehr. The Pens for every two, three years will keep trying to find a good affordable 3rd line C before that #3C becomes too expensive.
J. Staal -> Sutter -> Bonino -> temp/Sheahan -> Brassard who'll be a UFA in 2019, obviously an awesome problem to have when you got Crosby and Malkin #1C-#2C.

If my Carnac the Magnificent psychic thoughts are true, the Canucks could be in a similar path with Horvat and Pettersson locked in into long term mega deals, with the team trying new 3rd line C's.

Horvat will have 2 years left on his contract when Pettersson ELC expires, time flies.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Don’t think of it as cheering for the broons..... :sly: think of it as cheering against the leaves.......that might make it a tad easier.
I feel kinda dirty otherwise.......

Wicked game! Marchand could cost the bruins the series, if the score stays the same.

My favorite play from tonight.

The Rat blocks Rielly's view of the incoming shot until the last split-second.

Then ducks.
