In two of seven NHL seasons he played top 4 minutes. One team he did this for had the leagues worst D.

He started playing Top 4 minutes by his 22nd birthday (mid 2014-15 season) and hasn't looked back.

Not too shabby.

Top 4 dee on both teams he played on...

So Karlsson grabbed the puck at the end of the Sens last home game. Mean anything?

Can you imagine if they win the draft lottery? They'll draft you know who then trade Karlsson for a shit load. Talk about a sudden rebuild.

Sabres intentionally tanked bad and lost back then, now they are tanking again, the new oiler lotto system doesn't forgive true tankers.

And hey at least the Canucks have an excuse of half the team injured all season, so lets flip that 1970 expansion cousin draft luck around hey?
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Luongo becomes just the 3rd goalie in NHL history to play in 1000 games. Congrats Luo. Just hang in there a couple more years bud.

Good for Lu. Another good guy and great athlete who time will look upon fondly in retrospect. Yeah, hope this is far from the end for him. ;)

He's just 29 games behind Roy and 266 games behind Brodeur... you can do this Lou! :)

I wonder if his number gets retired here as well ? The talking heads that Pacific Blue listens to sAid it’s a given

I like Roberto but I swear this franchise loves to reward anyone above average

Hang up Kesler and the Biters number for good measure

We've been over this before.

Roberto Loungo is BY FAR the best goalie to ever play for the Vancouver Canucks.

Kirk McLean played more games, but Loungo had more wins (252 vs 211) in fewer games.
Luongo also posted 38 shutouts. McLean is second with a mere 20, and as mentioned -he played more games.
Luongo also has the second best GAA (2.38) of all goalies to ever play for the Canucks, beaten only by Cory Schneider (2.20). And Cory only played 98 games for the Canucks, while Roberto played more than 400. Dan Cloutier had the third best. Just so you realize how sad the franchise goalie record is.

Look up the stats.
Vancouver has had a lot of crappy goalies.
And then there's Luongo.

He stands out.

He was BY FAR the best goalie to ever take the crease for the Canucks.

I kind of miss him.
