I notice that the tanking in Buffalo is showing GREAT results.
“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau

Doesn't look good for Loooooooooouuuuuu.
He's had a lot of problems with his groin + hip over the past 2 years.
Had hip surgery last summer...
38 years old now... time for LTIR for life??

If the Cats buy him out this summer
... and if that results in no recap penalty...
I would be even happier.

Re: October / November OOTS
Would there be any reason for the Panthers (i.e. budget/cap floor team) to buy out a contract like Lu's? I imagine the normal reason would be to prevent being forced to use LTIR space, but they'll probably never touch LTIR over the next 4 years.
Maybe after the season, Canucks flip Gudbranson back to Florida for Lu and he can sit on our LTIR

Re: October / November OOTS
ESQ, I've been speculating on the possibility for quite some time:
viewtopic.php?p=257424#p257424
Keep in mind that Lou's contract may no longer be (fully?) insured.
(insurance is reviewed each year and Lou is old/has had injuries/surgery)
Gotta run now until possibly late this evening...

I kept thinking they could help him by taking at least one pad off. That did look bad. Hate to see any player have to end their career due to injuries but ya, he is 38.
The only HW the Canucks need

Upchuk at it again with his chickenshit stealth spearing, this time from the bench.
I hope these two teams kill each other tonight.

It went undetected by the refs... but no doubt DOPS will hit him with another suspension.rats19 wrote:Did he get away with that Doc?
