Everyone on the Carolina Hurricanes team is available for trade except Aho.
From the outside looking in, there seems to be little doubt of Tom Dundon’s appetite for change with the Carolina Hurricanes.

How much actual roster overhaul might the team see between now and training camp though?

Hockey’s No. 1 Insider, Bob McKenzie, had a Monday evening radio hit on Toronto’s TSN 1050and spent a little time in his segment ruminating on the Canes.
“There’s one guy on the team that they’re not prepared to trade – Sebastian Aho,” indicated McKenzie. “Everybody else – everybody else – is available. Skinner, you name it… Skinner is getting moved, I would think…
“… Everybody except for Aho (is available). I think Faulk is very much in play, I think Skinner is very much in play.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Skinner has another year with NMC.
There is a part of me that thinks he would be better than E. Kane but there is no-way to make that work.
Not that makes any sense anyways.

I’d be afraid of injury issues with skinner although it seems he’s been better the last couple of years? Skinner can definitely put the puck in the net and would look good in the top 6. I think Kane brings something sorely lacking in our top 6 though.

I like Skinner but I like Eastvander more.

And Eastvander would be a free wallet.

I haven't heard anything new, I'm still running with what he said about "love to be a Canuck one day" (2 years ago?)

Also, I'm positive Jimmy recognizes the fact we desperately need a top 6 asshole (or two).

There has to be a fairly decent chance of him coming home. We just cleared out 14 mill in space plus 2 top 6 slots are wide open.
I like him in our starting lineup...enough speedbaggings time for some balls

I'm a big fan of adding Evander, but Skinner's only missed 18 games over the past 5 years, while Evander's missed 98 over that same span.

Evander's health is a concern for me, but fuck it he's a UFA acquisition!

I think he could hold down the fort on the second line until Pettersson is ready (then slide to wing?).

So yeah, placeholders Green and Filppula on 2-year contracts please.

Gitterdun Jimmy. :mex:
And then we'll be rockin' in 1 to years™, right? :D
It would be nice to have a Stanley-Cup-winning placeholder on board when we make the playoffs next year. :mex:
Is that your prediction?

Are you saying they will make the playoffs?
To be fair the Jets missed 5 of the last 6 years of the playoffs (with a 1st round loss in 2015) to all of sudden are now in the semi finals.

So if the Canucks can fix their defense, the playoffs are not absolutely absurd to think about and if Marky or Demko can catch fire the possibilities are endless.
Plus a lot hinges on how fast the youth up front can start scoring.
Lol if they can just fix their defence.

The Jets batted 1000 on their first rounders for six years. Vancouver is nowhere close to that

Jets also batted .150 after the 2nd round, only good picks was Hellebuyck and Copp in the past 7 years.
.300 in 2nd at that.
