Welcome to Jasek Park.

#Canucks sign 20-year-old forward to three-year entry level contract. Jasek was drafted by Vancouver in the sixth round, 174th overall, at the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

So he was playing on a vet heavy stacked team so with little ice time he didn't do much stat wise. Hopefully he is able to flourish in Utica. Now, just waiting on Mackenzie and Brassard.

He’s played well for Utica so far. No risk signing. If he shows he’s ready for the NHL good. If not they know they have a player for Utica next year. Utica has a number of players on ATOs and a number of players could be lost over the summer, let go I mean, not re-signed.

Based on who's signed. Utica looks like this so far....

Gadjovich Dalhen Lind
Motte MacEwen Jasek
Gaunce Laplante Carcone

Sautner Chatfield
Brisebois McEneny

Demko

....Maybe Archibald(UFA), Boucher(RFA), Chaput(RFA), Cassels(RFA). Gaudette & Juolevi assuming are with the Canucks.

I'd like to see them keep Archibald for his versatility. Might as well keep the RFA's and I imagine Gaudette and Juolevi both start on the farm.

Jasek is still pretty light & probably raw NHL defensively, another year in the A most definitely is the plan.

They'll sign Brassard, with the lack of defensive prospects he's a lock.
McKenzie adios muchachos.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Boeser named a Calder finalist. Surprised me with the way his season ended and how some other rookies performed. More a recognition of what you could have done if not for the injury selection I think. But good on him.

Out of the land of weirdness, Canucks place Reid Boucher on waivers today. Wonder if they need the contract spot.

He was injured. He’s now cleared to play and has to clear waivers to play in Utica’s last time playoff game

Ahhhh. Thanks for that. So he never officially left the Canucks until his injury healed. Gotcha.
