Yes the twins are slow and poor defensively
That's all they are good for.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

I would not re-sign the twins for anymore then 3 mil per year, that's it.

In theory I agree with this. If was them however I’d be a bit miffed if Birdbones, Eriksson and even Samwise are making substantially more dollars than me.

They should pimp themselves out to a true contender and play third line minutes and second unit pp. There’s no hope of them winning fuck all here in the next few years.

Isn't it a statistical anomaly to be this unlucky at draft lotteries? The longer it goes with the losing aren't our odds of finally moving up getting higher?

It haaaaas to be our year this time.

The Sedins have already made all the money they will ever need, and they don't strike me as greedy types, nor the sort who measure their worth by their wealth.

If they want to keep playing in the NHL, it is because they still enjoy playing hockey, and the NHL is the only league where the level of competition is high enough to provide an interesting challenge.

If they want to play in Vancouver, it is because of some combination of loyalty to the franchise, love of the city, and a desire help the rebuild and mentor the young players.

All this leads me to suspect that they might be willing (to the dismay of their agent) to re-sign on real sweetheart deals, the way Salo did at the end.

One more reason to say that Loui and Sutter are overpaid and terrible signings.

It will be interesting to hear who thinks that it's OK to pay those two guys their current value but would then balk at seeing the Sedins extended on one year deals at $6M, who are massively outscoring those two guys.

How do you know these things? You saw the age and size of Danial's family. Hanks is similar. I posted about this earlier.
When is enough money enough?
What about the last 6 to 8 or so, million dollars they can probably earn in this league.
That is more than they can make in any other capacity and once it is over, it is over.
Also, they are competitors and will always want as much ice time as they can get. That's normal.
I do not understand why so many keep saying mentors. To this very day, most of the conversation on the bench is with each other...

Canucks and Vanek have mutual interest in him resigning here. Apparently he had expressed his preference to stay, rather than be traded, but only if the twins were also coming back.

Words cannot describe how laughable all of this is, pretty hard to take a rebuild seriously... Vegas Fucking Vegas will probably blow Neal out of town while in Playoff contention meanwhile there is mutual interest in Vanek coming back... Quality management...

Talk to all three of them. Tell them they want to explore a TDD deal and then bring them all back in the summer on one-year deals.

Explore trading one of Eriksson, Gagner, or Sutter.

Trade Edler.

Picks and youth into system, 2 vets out of system.

Blueline facelift complete. Forward lines facelift still in progress. :P

I would hope the Canucks interest would be on July 1st, after trading him for a draft pick at the deadline. There is no reason to keep him for the lottery drive.

and that's done all the time throughout the league every year like it's just that easy folks, trade at the deadline and re-sign July 1st. You're setting this one up nice, Nuckles. We will enjoy this one, gives you and Bubbles some Hamhius and Vrbata like ammo

Who's bigger? Vatanen or Jordan Subban? McPhee GM of the Year right now absolutely RAVES about Sbisa, either he is an idiot or you are. What did McPhee do with your buddies Garrison and Griffin Reinhart?
