Re: Canucks Contracts
Elias Pettersson comparable contract?
Mathew Barzal's extension with isles is a whopper. 8 years, $73.2 million, for an AAV of $9.15 million.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Re: Canucks Contracts
We'll see, but most likely and maybe more if Pettersson stays healthy and steps up like the Canucks need him to.

Lou must be rubbing his ass cheeks after this reaming. MB coming off a hugely disappointing year cashes in like it didn't even matter...

Re: Canucks Contracts
true, but Barzal has a $10M salary this season, so his qualifying offer would have had to be that, consequently Lou did get under that $10M aav, by $850K.Cousin Strawberry wrote: ↑Tue Oct 04, 2022 1:11 pmLou must be rubbing his ass cheeks after this reaming. Petey's salary is going to be $10.25M next season, so if the Canucks can get him in the 9's as well, that will be good.

Re: Canucks Contracts
It actually won’t be good. If Petey signs in that range he will likely be coming off a poor 22/23 season, with the team missing the playoffs again. They need this kid to break out.SKYO wrote: ↑Tue Oct 04, 2022 1:40 pmtrue, but Barzal has a $10M salary this season, so his qualifying offer would have had to be that, consequently Lou did get under that $10M aav, by $850K.Cousin Strawberry wrote: ↑Tue Oct 04, 2022 1:11 pmLou must be rubbing his ass cheeks after this reaming. Pettersson is set to have his best year I'd say. He looks dialed right in
