Maata is a pretty crappy player. Ol Paddy also compared him to Maata as well, I think Padraig goes to a shitload of Knights games. Paddy said that Evan Bouchard was a far better player than Olaf.

Paddycakes also thinks Marner is a Superhero. Marner is the next No Show Joe when it comes to the playoffs. While we are on the topic of CHL superstars like Bouchard - Nolan Patrick was lights out in the WHL.

Bouchards skating is horrendous, we all knew that, good enough in the CHL but not for the NHL.

Didnt Per or someone pass on how well Bouchard is playing over there? Hes no bust.

Same goes for Vilardi over in LA. Hes about to make the team apparently and should be a pretty good pro

Olli looked solid this past summer basically for the first time since we drafted him at 5OA. Its been a shitty ride waiting for him to develop so at this stage, if he makes the team we all should ecstatic. What I saw was encouraging and we all can be optimistic but his track record of injuries is trending shittily....ya shittily is a word now.

Maata was good early in his career but his game has sure fallen off a cliff the past couple. I would question his commitment to training as the culprit, as i pontificate all baked from my recliner...fully reclided i might add

You do realize Nolan Patrick hasn’t played in more than a year...right?

As for Bouchard, skating can be improved. Look at Bo Horvat. Furthermore a lot of quality NHLers get by on below average speed. Thornton has had a great career. The Sedins, Brock Boeser, Tyler Toffoli are/were right under that bulbous snout of yours. Speed is great but not every good-great player is a burner.

Just looked. Ya I'd say it's worth going over the waves to play. Link . That's damn good. Of course this was pre-arranged. Still worth checking to see if there are any spots open in their league. Some NHL teams may have prospects that could benefit.

They had a sports journalist from Edmonton on 1040 a few weeks back and he says the opposite regarding Bouchard. Basically says he has a lot to work on if he is to succeed in the NHL. Being quick and mobile, good at pivoting, can transition the puck out at speed is pretty much a must if you want to play in the NHL. Broberg for instance can skate but he has a brain like Jake Virtanen.

The hockey world got a decent amount of looks on him before his layoff due to migraines. For a guy touted as no. 1 pick overall right up to draft day sure isn’t looking that good but maybe like Juolevi his injuries have slowed his development? Patrick is only 4 months younger than Juolevi. I repeat - 4 months

Yeah and he was good enough to crack an NHL roster and play two seasons after being drafted. Juolevi was nowhere close. Oh but ‘DoSe SiX mInUtEs In Da PlAyDoWnS mAn’

More like they had an angry 50 something roofer from North Van on the phone who offered up those miserable opinions because he weirdly hates on every single NHL prospect that doesn’t rock the shitting whale. According to people who follow these prospects both Bouchard and Broberg are having good seasons.

But he stunk leading up to the migraines, not good for a much ballyhooed 1st overall pick, he shouldn’t have been playing in the NHL, only was because he was a 2nd overall pick. But apparently according to Doyle, the book isn’t written on Patrick but it is on Olli. Let me state again - Patrick is just 4 months younger than Juolevi.

Nobody said anything about any books being written on anyone. But please continue to make shit up. It’s what you do best. Hell even your sig line is made up bullshit. You must have had a lot of imaginary friends growing up as a kid and an innate ability to tell tall tales and build straw men
