Klimovich is young but he basically came from a beer league straight to the AHL and is very raw. All those picks puked away has come back to roost. No 2nd rounder this draft either.

Lockwood looks like he may carve out a Motte/Highmore role.

Good teams have young, good cheap labour pushing up every year. We have some great young players but there’s no depth. Allvin and Rutherford need to address this.
would you rather not have Miller?

odds of 2nd and 3rd rounders carving out legitimate NHL roles?
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

..again comes down to what Miller wants to do and (if it is stay) whether the potential contract value and term hamstrings the team no?

A top 4 RD, a 3rd line PK center with some belligerence who fit our age group as well as solid prospect/picks is potentially palatable based on who they are, age, prospects for further development and growth no?

2nd round pick with NHL careers - 25% + or -

2nd round picks with admirable NHL careers - 15% + or -

3rd round picks with NHL careers - 12%

....based on (only) 1 research study I read.

I would expect Woo to return to the blueline for the playoffs btw. He hasn't really shown any signs that he has the makings of a pro winger, it's been purely an emergency measure with both he and Alex Kannok-Liepert moved to rw to compensate for a rash of call ups and injuries.

I would rank the current Abby blueline this way:

Rathbone - Juulsen
Brisebois - Bowey
Sautner - Woo
Stephens - Kannok Liepert
Hickey

* Keeper

Players with real legitimate NHL upside would consist of Rathbone, Martin and Lockwood. All people we have already seen tested at the NHL level. That would be about it imo for the current edition of the Abbotsford squad.

If Jett is ranked below Juulsen, Brisebois, Bowey and Sautner in our system... the kid is fucked.

The Podz with a few other guys (Petan, Dries, Silovs, Martin, Woody) heading to Abby for AHL playoffs.

https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/canucks ... l-playoffs

Man, our Abby team looks stacked. They'll be joining some of our AHL stars there in Bailey, Julssen, Mikey D, Wrathboner, Dowling, Di Giuseppe, Woo, Bowey and Klimovich, etc. Wouldn't mind catching some of their games. :D

And they just pissed away an easy grasp of home ice advantage by shitting the bed their last two games in Winnipeg. Now they have to play a three game elimination series on the road against a team that gives them trouble and knocks them around a bit in Bakersfield. Odds are they're done in a week.

Dang, k. Hopefully the reinforcements will give us an edge. I'm curious to see how the Podz will do against AHL competition. :D

Looks like Abby dropped game one of their series by a score of 2-1 in overtime. Spencer Martin had a franchise record 45 saves. Tough guy Vincent Arseneau returned to the lineup for the game. Podkolzin scored the lone Canucks goal.

Doyle undoubtedly hates him because Jet Black Jimmy suavely acquired him for some overrated daddy-coattail-rider.
