I haven’t completed any books yet
I know

You usually think your book is complete after the 1st, 2nd or 3rd chapter.

I’m actually a happy camper, it’s lunch and I’m eating my nature valley granola bar reading your bat shit crazy postings, thinking about what beers I buy tonight since my Monday to Thursday no booze/bench pressing run is over

There were talks but Canucks 2nd round 2019 draft picks Nils Hoglander won’t be signed this summer. They will talk again in 2020, no rush from either side. Hoglander will play in Sweden this season. #Canucks

His team, Rögle, just played a mini tournament in Switzerland. They played against Graz, Langau and Zürich and won all three games to win the tournament. Nils scored a goal against Langau.

As an asside, who the fuck names their son Nils?

Reminds me of Nels Olson from Little House on the Prairie.

Well, Hoglander's parents probably aren't old enough to remember Little House on the Prairies. :drink:

Lol touché. I’m 49 with kids 15 and 12. I remember when Half Pint pushed Nelly down the hill in her wheelchair. Who knows how old his parent are ???? The show ran from 1974-83. I’m sure it has been shown in syndication here. Who knows what the Swedes watch. I’m sure they loathe any shows they have anything to do with war or guns or fighting.

Swedes? And occassionally Danes, Finns and Norwegians, though the Danes usually spell it Niels, like Niels Bohr.

Some 100,000 Swedes are named Nils, including my brother in law.

It’s basically a shortened form for the Greek Nikolaus, formed by the words nike (victory) and laos (people), so it’s basically the same as Nicolas, Niklas, Nick and Klaas.

How would you feel if you were named Nils? Per? Instead you were named after Per Olav Brasar.

Yeah, it’d be impractical, given that my brother in law has that name.
Also, my last name starts with an s, so I would have to make a short pause everytime I introduced myself.
So, yeah, I’m better off not having that name.
