If only Silent Y could play with the same jam as Rahimi.
Rahimi played two seasons with the Moose back when, but never managed to make the cut for the Canucks. He has managed to establish himself in the SHL though, but with a roughneck reputation. In 2015/16 he was the most penalised player of the league...!
He frequently plays on the national team; ie until the NHL players show up... We have so many good Swedish D-men in the NHL that the SHLers hardly ever make the cut for the major championships. He has made the World Championships roster twice though, and has a bronze medal to show for it. Last season he actually played for Davos in Switzerland, but this season he is back in the SHL playing for Växjö.

They looked really good together in the Swedish second tier league last season. Let's see if they can repeat it in the SHL this season, and then in the NHL the next...

After the two road games, Växjö will now play the same two teams at home. They face Davos tonight and Liberec on Saturday. For some reason they won't play the fourth team in their roundrobin group, Cardiff Devils, till October.
Anyway, the puck drops at 18.30 CET tonight. Guess that's 9.30 am in Vancouver?
I'll see if I can find some link.

Dahlen with Pettersson in the SHL for a year would be ideal , keep em together so they can continue the chemistry all the way towards their NHL debuts.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.
That's good news. Did you get a chance to watch any of the game Per ? I heard he's been playing the wing.
No, Swedish TV chose to show Malmö Redhawks vs Stavanger Oilers (Norway), and the feed on the CHL website was blocked in Sweden. I'm sure it will please you to hear the Oil lost.
Either way, I was watching Sweden's qualification game for the FIFA World Cup vs Bulgaria.
Immensly frustrating. Sweden dominated but lost 3-2.

Another game by Växjö, beating Liberec 6-3 on home ice.
A powerplay goal by Pettersson, really nice onetimer, means he continues his ppg run; 4 points (2G 2A) over 4 games.
Here is the highlight reel:

“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau
