Not sure that's my hypothesis.
Sorry, I don't like to misrepresent other posters. One of the alternate hypotheses IN presented, then ?

That's what's kinda nice about the CHIP stat, cap hit of injured player.

Cap hit isn't a perfect reflection of a player's value, but at least it accounts for a Rodin being hurt.

SHL quarter finals have started and Växjö won their first game 4-1.
No points for Elias, but he showed off some nice dekes and dangles.
They're facing Brynäs, the local team here in Gävle, so I might try to get tickets for one of the games. It'll most likely be a sweep, so I will have to move fast..... :drink:

Good luck Per.

For those wondering, it's been reported that Elias is still playing on RW.

Got tickets for tonight! 8-)
I'm taking my daughter. She actually roots for Brynäs. I don't.
Don't really care for either of these teams, but I'm thrilled to get a closer look at Elias!
And Växjö actually has Rahimi on D. He's a former Björklöven player and has worn the Orca at camp to boot.

If you're looking for assholes...

The Swedish Scott Stevens. *hehe* Funny, it didn't even look like he hit those guys very hard and they went down like a ton of bricks. :P

That last guy went down faster than a soccer player.

Well, he's a big guy. 190 cm, 100 kg.
And he has always played a very physical game.

Shockingly, Brynäs won tonight. They finished tenth inthe regular season, Växjö finished first.
Most people expected a clean sweep. But hockey is hockey.

Brynäs won by capitalizing on the power play. Both teams took four minors. Brynäs scored four PP goals, Växjö only two.
Växjö also scored one equal strength goal, but they still lost 4-3.

Not Elias's best game, but all the Växjö players looked rather lackluster for the first 55 minutes. Then they put immense pressure on Brynäs for the last five, but to no avail.

Brynäs obviously knew they had to keep Elias in check, so he found himself lying down on the ice a lot, and he never had any room for his patented dekes dangles and shots. There was always a check on him. Except for the last five minutes, then he finally got a chance to fire his cannon, twice even, but there was a massive forest of Brynäs players in front of the goal, and Växjö just could not get it in.

Oh well, an exciting game at least, especially at the end. But I had been hoping for some more Pettersson magic,

Goat of the game: Rahimi. Six of the eight PIM called against Växjö were on him. First a 2+2 for a high stick in the face of. Brynäs player, then 2 for interference. And as mentioned before, Brynäs scored on every single power play.
