I've never seen him play so can't comment in Lockwood - but to pass on guys like Bitten (love his game), Pu, Dineen, Fox and Abramov for him he had better be good. There was a ton of talent left and they went with somebody lower ranked.

It's a gamble but they typically when drafting know what they are doing so I won't get too upset.

Given the tampering comments, the lack of picks and doing nothing else so far it's been a tough couple of days for Benning and co.

A head-scratcher indeed. Tons of straight-ahead speed but not much else. From what little I've been able to find, this kid was ranked lower than where Benning took him. Weird.

Then again, he took Juolevi with #5 so nothing should surprise me today.

Was compared to a Jannik Hansen type.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Juovevi was a a good pick - consensus best dman in the draft, will almost certainly be a top 4 guy and likely a top 2 guy. That's a very good pick.

The next picks who knows - as I said never seen the kid play. I will say it's damn hard to draft when your GM trades away half your picks. He really, really needs to stop that because whatever he thinks the proof is in the pudding and this team as constructed is terrible.

Lockwood says yes too. He loves Vancouver!!
“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau

Like the wind. Lockwood has a motor that with quit just like Hoglander!! Energy players who love to hit but Blobbee Mackinaw from Sakinaw don’t like that one bit, no siree.

His skating is fine. Problem is he’s 5ft 11 and 155 with tiny soft shoulders. Hopefully he can eat a few of Doc’s extra greasy burgers and fatten up a bit.

He’s a ridiculous skater, one of the fastest players in college hockey and he will be the same in the NHL. He is injury prone and plays a very hard nosed game which isn’t great at his size - hopefully he can stay healthy.

I’m not sure he will score much but he could be a perfect 3rd or 4th liner.

He’s already said he’s signing after the season so I’m not worried.
