Good for him, I've been following his career since he was the Vegas Wranglers (ECHL) coach - but I don't wish him any success in his new position.

If WD makes it through the year, that'll be five big head to heads this year. (maybe more).
Na. We'll make it, they won't.

According to Gulutzan, the Flames are "on the cusp," so we all better watch out!

He seemed like a nice guy, but this is far from an ideal situation. A fanbase (and possibly management) that thinks they're on the cusp just because they've made the playoffs once in the past 7 years, and that seems to think they've arrived because they've finally developed NHL players for the first time in a decade.

While Hartley got a long leash for his minimal results, I'm not so sure Gulutzan will get as much slack if the team misses the playoffs for a couple more years.

It would be funny if the Canucks hire Hartley as an assistant coach.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

So I was very excited to see this and came here to post about how great it would be to get a compensatory pick!!!

Then I read NHL to end coach and executive compensation policy
