Jim Benning is NOT a genius if:

Post by Ronning's Ghost »

I feared I had stifled what had been a vibrant conversation with my post in the Jim Benning debate thread, and thought it might be because I had previously phrased the question awkwardly. I hope this poll rectifies that, and reinvigorates the exchange.

Fuck do I miss having a competitive team. These kind of debates are all the coiler fans have to talk about every year.
Maybe I better get that truck this spring.
So...new Tundra or 2011/12/13?
And is a limited worth the extra $$$? Aaron? Didn't u just buy one?

Oh RG I apologize if it seems I'm taking the piss out of you for this post...I'm not. There's nothing wrong with keeping these discussions going.
Its more fan despair on my part...hence the collection of vintage pitchforks out in my shed

Aaron is busy driving a taco.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Damn rights!

UDL, if you want a Taco the Limited isn't worth it IMO. The extras - hickory leather seats, chrome accents, JBL Premium audio, parking sonar, IIRC aren't worth the premium price to me.

I went with a Sport with the Upgrade package then added a nice leather (which is all I wanted from the Limited package) for $1500 and a tonneau cover for $1000. Well under the $4500 Limited package.

And don't worry, we'll be competitive soon enough. Buy a truck and by the time you pay it off we'll be a playoff hungry team again!

In case the phrasing of the question seems to have a negative bias, I wanted to explain that it's because i thought the converse would be obvious, and therefore redundant.

Stanley Cup by 2020 => genius !

Stanley Cup after 2020 => competent GM who benefited from the the patience and trust of ownership.

Fear not RG. Peeps here will immediately stifle a vibrant conversation with awkward exchanges. You'll have to rectify by reinvigorating threads from time to time.

So saying that...

Hey guys, I like large boxes and tacos too! I don't like leathery ones though.

Not sure what tundras have to do with anything, but if she's cold as one I get no taco.

This poll is genius!

Make sure you get AC and an air freshener, those seats can get slippery in heat and have a tendency to give off odors.

I had originally intended this poll to be about results, rather than specific moves, but:

Jim Benning is NOT a genius if Tanev and Edler are both still in the Canucks organization at the start of training camp.
