Wow! Blob hits me with my first post ever. Impressive.
But that's what I saw at that time.
Delayed by temptations and a rock-star attitude, but back on track this October.
Wait for it.

At the core Jake is a good kid, just came with some bad habits and was a very naive kid when we drafted him. Now they are having to deconstruct/reconstruct him back together. Looks like he's starting to get it. He definitely needs to keep his weight to around 210-215 at the most. In the clips I saw of him on the goals he looks like he's skating very well. Looking very active instead of just watching like he was up before.

As soon as they teach him to roll up his sleeves and work for pucks in the corners rather than wait for his linemates to set him up we might have a player.
Hes been waiting for those passes since Red Deer...that will come down to 50% coaching/development and 50% internal drive.
If you need air...call it in

Biggest problem I see is he doesn't seem to know where to go a lot of the time when he doesn't have the pick. He drifts a lot and skates around aimlessly. He's obviously had very poor coaching growing up and had gotten by on his size and speed. I'm not sure offensive instincts and finding the soft spots on the ice is correctable. For what it's worth I didn't mind his defensive game last year. I'm still worried about the lack of physical play though as it was a hallmark of his game in junior.

There is physical play, which he did have some of but like you say, because of himself and lack of the right instruction, physical just turned into chippy, chirpy and bad, (late), penalties.

Listen Moobs, Barbara Billingsly once said to Hugh Beaumont - "Aren't you being a lttle hard on the Beav?"

I think you might be a little hard on the Jake, Blobbbe Cleaver

Doc is probably going through what I went through, google Canuckscorner then hit canuckscorner forum. It comes up - fatal error. Been like that for a week now. It took me a while to figure it out, lol, you now have to hit Canucks corner chat or game forum to get in here.

Those were Jake's issues a year ago, have you seen him lately Bubbles or are you making opinions ala S-C
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Yes I have watched a couple AHL games and have read articles and reports from decent sources, not to mention the ten games he took up space here. Have you seen anything ? He was way more physical last year abdxto be quite honest his points stats are fucking garbage. The pirouettes and figure eights he has done for years. I'm not sure he can he get that beaten out of his game.

I had that too a few days back. Got tired of back doors, so:
I installed Google Chrome as a secondary browser, put the Corner there, and it works better, faster than it ever has.
